Lemony Snicket's POV

My name is Lemony Snicket, and I have spent years, months, and countless consecutive and nonconsecutive days investigating how a couple of  people might survive a fire. A person might survive if he was unable to sleep, so instead of being in bed with his siblings, he was in the kitchen drinking hot cider with his mother, who smelled the smoke... and helped him into a secret tunnel under the house while she went to get
the rest of the family.

Another person might survive if he was instead of being in the art room, he was in the library with his mother looking for a book to read, until they began to see flames under the door, no place to escape and helped him into a secret tunnel under their house where the mother's brother, who has been faking his death for several years has been purposely waiting for a time like this, to hopefully help save the family from danger and hide them from the dangers that would await them later.

The mother's brother took the young survivor to a secret apartment until they found a newspaper stating that the survivor's sister was found and safe. Wanting to take the young survivor to his sister as soon as he could, the mother's brother tried to make haste, but soon found that it was too late to reunite the children. For, she was gone. Instead, they find another survivor of a fire. So instead of trying to continue the search of his sister, he left the two survivors with each other, in hopes that they would find them on their own and that the mother's brother could continue to keep his life secret.

Y/N's POV

"Ch-Charlie?" my voice cracked. The raven haired boy looked at me, smiled and nodded. My eyes stuck with tears. My brother survived the fire. I knelt down and opened my arms. He immediately ran to me and I hugged him tight. The feeling of my brother's embrace filled another hole that was in my heart. I sobbed as my brother and I reunited.
"I missed you so much," I sobbed.
"I missed you too," Charlie babbled as his ocean blue eyes looked into mine.
