Chapter 26

    Gon rushed in, jumping off the walls, with the help of Ryu. 'Eighty percent on my legs, twenty on the rest. This should make it so I can't break the wall, I think..,' Gon thought, leaping to the next wall, and managing to be the first one out.
     "WOAH! Leaping off the walls like a frog, in first place, it's Gon Freecss from class 1-A!" Present Mic yelled out. The crowd cheered, making Gon happy. He also heard Alluka's praise, which made him even more confident. Killua was behind, but had been using the same technique, but adding electricity on his feet for show.
     Just as he was about to make it out of the tunnel, a cold wind blew around him. Todoroki has formed ice, allowing for himself to skate away. Killua landed on the icy floor, almost slipping off, but managed to keep his balance.
     "Oooooooh! Todoroki had used his ice to skate his way to second place, causing many others to slip and fall! What a nasty trick, it's so cool!" Present Mic cheered. Killua grew slightly irritated, he won't be knocked over by a small amount of ice. He began, dashing on the ice, thanks to his training, he could run on most slippery surfaces. Although, he can still slip and fall if he isn't focused.
     "It seems a few students managed to get past that. That's no problem, I just have to make it past Gon, and clear the rest of the obstacles," Todoroki said out loud, picking up his speed. Blasts and explosions were heard, Bakugo was making his way to third, screaming, and shouting.
     "It seems Gon has made it to the second part of the obstacle race! Look closely, these metal parts may look familiar! That's right, it's the robots from the UA entrance exam! How will he-," Present Mic paused, watching the young teen blast the robots apart, one by one. The crowd went silent, watching the dust clear up. Gon stood there, unharmed, and still full of energy. Todoroki was right behind, eyes widening at what he had seen. 'Another All Might secret love child?!' Todoroki thought. Then it dawned on him. 'Wait, that makes Midoriya and Gon related, but Killua is related to Midoriya by the laws of adoption! Killua and Gon are secret loves though...FORBIDDEN LOVE!' Todoroki thought, beginning to run again.
     "I-INCREDIBLE! Gon had managed to destroy them all! What an incredible quirk!" The hero said, standing up from his chair. Aizawa slightly smiled, proud at how much the teen had grown. Gon wiped his sweat away before being to run again. Todoroki noticed how much closer the two were now and began to make a mad dash ahead. Smelling the air, Gon had noticed Todoroki was just behind him.
     "Hi Todoroki!" Gon smiled, waving. The white and red haired boy said nothing, continuing to run, and managed to get past him. Soon came Bakugou and Killua, who were trying to get past each other.
     "So rude, not even replying," Gon muttered, quickening his pace.
     "TODOROKI HAS TAKEN NUMBER ONE! Gon's now in second place, but not too far from first. While Bakugou and Killua are tying in third! Who will win, it's anyone's guess!" Alluka/Nanika began cheering louder with the rest of the crowd. They hoped her brother or Gon would win the race.
     "It seems our first to third place people had made it to the third obstacle. In order to advance to the next obstacle, they need to get past these ropes and platforms, if they fall, it's okay! We made sure it has a safety net to catch them!" Present Mic explained. Immediately using his ice, Todoroki glided across the ropes, and onto the next platform. Gon used Ryu to jump from platform to platform.
     "It seems Gon has taken first place again, he's jumping around like it's nothing!" Gon smiled, he loved the adrenaline rushing through his body. He continued jumping past Todoroki, Bakugou, and Killua. 'I know I don't want to stand out, but man, I wanna beat Gon or at least tie with him in first place. Just like in the hunter exam,' Killua thought, smiling.
     'You don't deserve it.'
     This new goal drove Killua to move faster. He used his electricity, mostly for show, and Ryu, to bounce off the platforms like Gon.
     "What the hell?! GET BACK HERE!" Bakugo yelled, using his quirk to blast his way over the ropes.
     "Killua has taken second place! He's quickly catching up to Gon, who has also finished the third obstacle, and onto the fourth!" Alluka had gotten four glow sticks, two blue, and two green. She paired the blue and green together on each hand, waving them around.
     "Hey Killua! Change your mind on standing out?" Gon asked, still running. Killua laughed, hands behind his back, and a smug smirk.
     'You don't deserve his friendship.'
     "Nah, I just wanna beat you in this race, or you know, stay by your side like in the hunter exam," Killua mumbled out, catching up to Gon. The tan boy lightly blushed and smiled. Together they made it to the next obstacle.
     'If you're going to try, win.'
     "It's the fourth obstacle, be careful, it's a minefield! No worries parents and others, we made sure they won't harm the students too much!"
     "Where the hell do they get all the money for this stuff?" Killua asked, running like usual. Gon shrugged, focusing on the ground.
     'This is the perfect opportunity.'
     "I don't think I can run across this easily," Gon complained, taking careful, but still speedy steps. Killua rolled his eyes, grabbing Gon's arm, and throwing him onto his back.
     "Just hold on, okay?" Killua said, using more men to help him run faster. Gon almost fell off, but managed to cling onto Killua.
     'Drop him here, you don't need him.'
     "Thank you!" Gon smiled. Killua became flustered and looked back ahead.
     'I said drop him!' Killua tried his best to ignore his brother's commands. He wasn't going to hurt his friend.
     "Wow, these boys are something else, especially Killua Zoldyck! He's running like it's only flat land and look how adorable he is, allowing Gon to hitch a ride!" Present Mic awed. Aizawa on the other hand, clicked his tongue in annoyance. 'Drop him and you're dead," Aizawa threatened, sending off dangerous vibes.
     "Looks like someone's over protective father instincts kicked in~," Present Mic teased. Aizawa kicked the other teacher in the leg, making him fall off his chair. The speakers were off during this.
     "Young love!" Midnight squealed, moving in place. Killua blushed even more and Gon did too. They were now on flat land again, with Gon on his own feet.
     'KICK HIM INTO THE MINES!"
     "Don't they know how distracting that is," Killua complained. Gon said nothing, speeding up slightly. Killua noticed this and went faster. The two boys began racing to the finish line, ignoring the big blast they heard from behind.
     'You're a disappointment.' Killua continued to ignore his brother, but his words hurt.
     "Look at him! Using one of the robot's parts in order to blast his way across the mines! Such a great strategy!" Killua and Gon looked at each other in confusion, taking a second to look behind them.
     "MIDORIYA?!"
     "IZUKU?!" The two teens had both tied in first place and were looking at the boy. Midoriya ran as fast as he could, making it too second place.
     "I-I made it," Midoriya said, almost fainting. Killua and Gon both laughed, walking up to their friend.
     "Was this a tie?! Who won first place? We'll need to check out the footage once everyone is done!"

     Forty-four students had made it to the next event. Gon and Killua had a Rock, Paper, Scissor match to decide the winner. Gon won the match, sticking his tongue out at Killua. Killua then noticed the three images on Gon's hand. Two of them looked exactly like what Leorio and Kurapika had sent him earlier. Midnight then began explaining the next round. Once she finished, everyone started forming groups of four.
     "Hey Shiozaki, will you join me and Killua's team?" Gon asked, bouncing in place. The vine haired teen looked at Gon and his best friend. She then looked around for her classmates, which were all in teams already.
     "It would be a betrayal to my classmates if I work with Class A students, but seeing as they're all in teams, I guess I can make this one exception," The female explained. Gon smiled widely, hugging the other.
     "Thank you so much!" Gon beamed, letting go of the female.
     "Light," Killua said.
     "An angel!" Shiozaki said. Gon tilted his head looking at the two in confusion. A pink hand tapped on Gon's shoulder, taking the attention of the trio.
     "Heya, mind if I join your team?" Ashido asked, looking at the team members. Shiozaki gave her a silent glare, but otherwise, she wasn't too bothered.
     "Sure!" Gon said, smiling widely. Killua shrugged, not really caring who joined.
     "Alright we need to think of a strategy," Killua whispered to make sure other teams would not hear them. The other three nodded their heads in agreement.
     "I think Shiozaki should be the rider! She can use her vines to defend the headband!" Gon explained, pointing at the teen's vines.
     "That seems like a good idea! I can easily shield the band with my vines without having to block others in the team," Shiozaki explained. Killua nodded, looking at Ashido, and Gon.
     "Leave the speed to me and Ashido, we'll be on the sides!" Killua stated, pointing at himself with his thumb. The pink female gave her team a thumbs up.
     "Then that leaves me in the front! I can, uh," Gon thought for a while, thinking of what he can do. Ashido and Killua both have long range attacks and speed. Gon has speed, he has attacks in all ranges, but he needs to charge them.
     "All I have is speed and a bunch of punches," Gon complained, falling onto the floor. Ashido laughed, picking Gon up.
     "That's fine! We can just use our speed to run away!" Ashido said. The other two nodded, it was a good plan, they can't always fight.
     "We'll need to get other bands too, you know just in case," Killua pointed out.
     "He is correct, but I'd say three bands is all we need to pass. That is if we lose our band," Shiozaki explained, walking off to get their team band. The other three followed her there.

1st place: Bakugo, Kirishima, Jiro, and Sero.
2nd: Todoroki, Yaoyorozu, Iida, Kaminari
3rd: Shiozaki, Gon, Killua, Ashidoi
4th: Shinso, his teammates didn't want to continue
People that got another chance to fight: Pony, Monoma, and Tetsutetsu.

     "Man, that was extremely difficult," Gon said, falling onto the ground.
     "Yeah, who knew working in teams was not my thing," Killua complained, remembering how they all argued which direction they would go.
     'Of course it's not, you're an assassin Killu, you don't need anyone.'
     "I can't believe your electricity burned my precious hair!" Shiozaki puffed her cheeks out, holding onto her vines. Ashido had passed out after the event.
     "At least we got third, right?" Gon slightly smiled, trying to give his teammates hope. Shiozaki turned her head around, looking at the passing people.
     "I suppose that's a good thing, we still get to move onto the next round," she stated, waving her hand.
     "I better get ready for the next round. I hope the heavens are on your sides, except you Killua. I hope you and your sins burn in the deepest depths of hell," Shiozaki threatened, glaring at the white haired boy. Killua just stuck his tongue out and with that Shiozaki left.
     "Bakugo got us good in the last bit, can't believe he just flew in, and snatched it. It's not fair! I wanted to win!" Gon whined, throwing his legs and arms in the air.
     "IDOT, stop doing that! You're going to embarrass me!" Killua whacked Gon's head. Ashido also wanted to complain, but decided to continue playing dead.
     "Oooowwww that hurt!" Gon complained, rolling around the floor.
     'Now kill him.'
     "GOOD!" Killua roared out, punching him an extra time, twice as hard.
     'I said kill him, not punch him even harder.' The boy glanced over at the limp female, bloodlust leaking.
     "I know you're awake," Killua said, standing up. The female shivered, also standing. She looked at Killua's deadly glare, before running away. The white haired teen sighed, grabbing his friend's hand.
     "What are you doing?" Gon asked, watching the other observe his hand. He also noted that Killua was acting a little weird today.
     "Kurapika and Leorio sent me a photo of this cloth, except it didn't have Kon on it," Killua stated, before turning away. Gon raised his brow looking at his friend.
     "What do you mean?" Gon asked.
     "I think we should be careful, something's going to happen. I don't know what or when, but it's going to happen," Killua explained, before heading outside, hoping to find some sort of insect to kill instead of a person.
     'I guess that would do, but a human would be much more preferred,' the voice said, as Killua killed a trail of ants, one by one. He was taking out his frustration on innocent little insects. Gon stood behind him, watching Killua squish them, eyebrows knitted together.
     At that same moment, Killua's bug phone was buzzing away. Alluka muted the device, focusing on her food.

Here we go! I really enjoyed writing about the obstacle course! The team battle thing though, I really couldn't think of anything. I decided to leave it up to you people. Something big is coming, is it going to be good or bad? It's anyone's guess! Man I can't wait to share it all with you, but first we gotta get these sports festivals finished! By the way, I'll have to edit an old chapter, maybe add another, because I forgot to add a scene in it, plus things that happen afterwards, sooo, idk when that'll be out, but I'm working on it! Ps: I just finished editing/adding onto that chapter!
