Chapter 40

     Alluka was placed in Juvenile Detention. She was constantly watched and was given very strict rules.
     "Where is Killua?" Nanika asked. She had fallen asleep when they were placed in the police car. Alluka said nothing as she continued to eat her lunch. Nanika was growing worried and wanted to look around for her brother.
     "Alluka, where is Killua?" Nanika asked once again. Alluka continued to ignore the other, she was currently to angry to think about anything. Nanika decided to take control, seeing as the female wasn't doing much. Nanika's facial features replaced Alluka's.
     The girl looked up and began to observe the area. There were teens that were above her age and some that were younger. They were all sitting on tables and eating food. Alluka looked forward and saw police surrounding every exit of the room. One of the police caught sight of her. He showed confusion than a strict face as began to walk towards her.
     "Ms. Zoldyck, we have explained that no quirk usage is allowed here," the man said, his accent sounded foreign to the girl. Nanika tilted her head, looking up at the man.
     "Who are you?" Nanika asked.
     "I'm Officer James," The man kindly said.
     "I see your quirk allows you to have two different people share your body. In that case, it's fine for you to look around," The officer said, smiling down at the girl. He took a turn and went off back to his position. Nanika looked down at the try, disgusted by the vegetables on it. Her brother told her the stuff was terrible and it tasted like poison to him. Since then, she had never eaten a vegetable in her life.
     Nanika stood up, leaving the tray behind. One of the officers telling her to throw away the uneaten food. Nanika went back to grab the try and looked for a trash can. On her way there she was tripped over by a girl.
     "Oops, I didn't mean to trip the copycat," the girl said, hiding her smile. She had black long hair, similar to Nanika's and Alluka's. Her skin was a bit darker than Alluka's skin and she had sharp baby blue eyes. The other females on the table began laughing at the broccoli coved Nanika. It took a while for Nanika to register what happened and when she did, her eyes became scribbles, tears forming on the edges of her eyes.
     The females on the table were confused by her reaction but the black-haired girl took this opportunity to make fun of her more.
     "Aw, scribbled eyes is crying, whatever should she do! Maybe she'll go cry to her mommy!" The girl drastically said. Once again the girls began to laugh. Nanika returned back to her mind, shoving Alluka to control the body. Alluka blinked multiple times before her face grew angry. She hopped onto her feet and glared down at the female.
     "HEY! Apologize to Nanika!" Alluka shouted. The other female was taken aback at how similar they looked, the younger seemed to have much prettier skin and eyes then her's and she grew jealous.
     "As if I'll apologize, I don't do that stuff. Now go away copycat, I was here first," She demanded, slamming her hands onto the table. Alluka was practically fuming at this point and she was ready to punch the other in the face. So she did.

     Alluka was sitting down in her solitary room, her face was beaten up, her lip and eyes were puffy, and her nose bleed. The police tried breaking up the fight, but the other female had already beaten her up, punching and kicking her. The female then began explaining how it was Alluka's fault, that she punched her first and it was out of self-defense. Unfortunately, the police took her side, and nowhere was Alluka.
     "I miss Onii-Chan," Alluka cried, rubbing her eyes. She believed her brother would come back to get her, just like back then, but how long until that belief breaks? Until she can't handle the beating and everything else.
     "I miss Stain," the girl mumbled out, falling into a slumber. Nanika was worried for her sister, reading her thoughts at the moment was not a pleasant thing.

For the rest of the internship, Killua was being lazy and grumpy. Gon kept trying to cheer him up which worked for a while. Todoroki was sent to the hospital with Midoriya and Iida, so it was just them and Endeavor. The pro hero was taking cautious moves, not wanting to trigger something bad in Killua. The hero tried not to speak about the Hero Killer in front of him and the possible Stain follower. Although, with his recent work and the Stain video released in the media, it was a difficult task.
"It'll be alright, I'm sure she'll be released soon. From what I know she hasn't committed any crimes," Gon pointed out. Killua only nodded his head, looking out at the window.
"I hope they're okay," Killua mumbled out, he stood up and walked to his bed, flopping onto it. Gon sat next to him.
"Toga has suggested a place they can stay at until she's in the clear," Gon explained. They had met yesterday and the girl was trying to cut him up.
"She reminds me of Hisoka, it's quite unsettling," Gon added. Killua laughed, causing Gon to blush.
"Yeah, she's insane. They're both insane. Although, Toga is a pretty great friend," Killua said, placing his hand behind his head and looking up at the ceiling.
"The new recruits seem to have their own base, Toga was talking about how it would be the perfect place for her," Gon explained, going back on topic.
"Yeah, yeah, but what if one of them tries to kill her! I don't know where the place is, how am I supposed to keep her safe! WHAT IF ILLUMI FINDS HER FRIST!" Killua screeched, shaking Gon.
"Everything will be alright. Have some faith," Gon said, trying to push Killua away. The younger boy grew angry that Gon was placing his feet on his face.
"IDIOT. What the hell, get your feet off me!" Killua screamed.
"I'll stop when you stop shaking me!" Gon shouted back, pressing his feet harder onto the other's face. Killua grabbed Gon's check and began to pinch it. Gon let out a pained noise and used his other feet to kick Killua in the stomach. They continued to fight until the room door opened.
Aizawa let out a long, disappointed, tired yawn. He was so over his life and wanted to leave the room.
"Stop fighting you two, you both need to study for final exams." Gon's eyes grew wide and a look of terror toke over his face, while Killua was confused.
"I don't want to!" Gon screamed, taking cover behind Killua. Aizawa facepalmed and let out another sigh.
"You don't have a choice, let's get going, and maybe I'll take you sightseeing today," Aizawa explained. Gon bounces of the bed quickly, his upbeat attitude came rolling back. Killua was still extremely confused, so he followed the two of them into the kitchen. There they land their eyes on a mountain of work.
"I can't help you with the physical portion, but I am able to help you study the written stuff," Aizawa explained. A thud was heard and Aizawa and Killua look at the floor.
"Did he die?" Killua thought out loud, looking at the fumes coming from Gon's ears. His mouth was wide open and his eyes looked shocked. 'This isn't going to be that hard right?' Killua thought, getting tense. He began to bite his fingernail as anxiety filled him.

     A raven-haired female was pushed up against a wall, a hand just a bit darker than her's was aimed at her face. She was repeatedly punched, over and over again. Tears stained the younger's pale cheeks, blood dripping out of her nose. The female tried to scream and kick but she was only met with more punches.
     The other teens laughed at her misery, some joining in on the beating. The Alluka look-alike had a wide girl on her face, she had scissors on her right hand and her other one held her hair up.
     "There can only be one of us with these looks and I'll be that person," She explained, slowly cutting the other's hair off in ragged chunks. The female continued to scream and cry, watching her hair fall down in front of her. She worked for years to get them at her desirable length.
     "Please, stop! STOP!" Alluka screamed. Alluka was stabbed on the right side of her shoulder and then left alone on the ground as she screamed. She sobbed on her knees, from the pain and sadness. Her beautiful, long, black, silky hair was now above her jawline. It was ragged, covered with dirt, and even some blood.
     "Onii-Chan," Alluka cried, hugging her knees. She didn't want to go back to her room. If she did she'd have to face them again. Alluka grabbed the scissors that were jammed into her shoulder, she then began to take it out.
     "Ouch," Alluka hissed, freezing up.
     "I miss Killua," Nanika whined, she was also extremely sad. The two females only had each other for comfort now, just like before.
