Jessica's POV

my phone went off as I walked back into my bedroom after having some breakfast. I jumped on my bed, before I opened the phone..

zek - I'll be at yours by like 7.20
me - okay :)

I put my phone down and sighed, I agreed to let him pick me up for school today - which is so weird because as ive said, normally in school he 'hates' me. I rolled over to look at my phone, it was 7.10 so I had 10 minutes to get ready. so I took a very quick shower before getting changed into some ripped jeans and a tube top, then I sat infront of my mirror and straightened my hair. when I was done I slipped my AF1's on and grabbed my phone running though to the kitchen (she lives in a bungalow)

"hey, why are you in a rush my darling?" my nana asked
"Zach is like going to be here in one minute - hes giving me a lift to school" I smiled
"awe that was nice of him" she said
I nodded and quickly went up to the door
"wait!" she shouted behind me
"yes?"
"the Avery's and Herron's are coming for dinner tonight"
"okay nana"
she hugged me and kissed my head - I was confused but shook it off
"have a great day" she said, I nodded. when I opened the door Zach was standing there about to ring the door bell. I smiled at him letting him in

"hey bab- hey Cooper" he said awkwardly as my little brother walked into the kitchen
"hi Zach" he replied grabbing an apple
"you want something to eat z?" I asked, he shook his head and took a seat next to me
"why are you here then?" cooper asked
"oh im giving Jessica a ride to school"
"oh" cooper looked at me and gave a slight wink, he knew Zach never normally gives me a ride, I rolled my eyes, and pulled Zach up to go to his car.
"ill see you later Coop" I said and he groaned - he was probably tired, hes moody when he is. anyway as we got into his car he sighed
"so, ive been getting texts all night" he began to drive away
"why?" I asked
"well they were asking if we are dating - but like I didn't answer any of them" he chuckled, I mean why would people be asking? why do they care? but once we got to school he intertwined his hand with mine - we got a few stares as we were walking but I knew too well there would be more, I couldn't look at them so I just stared at the ground as we walked, Zach saw, obviously

"jess dont do that, they are going to think you are purposely avoiding eye contact" he said
"I am" I sighed
"okay... well dont do it" he cleared his throat
"fuck your bossy" I rolled my eyes
"well I did learn from the best" he shrugged, then I looked up at him, glaring as he smirked
"hey, are you going to Lucas's party on Friday?" I asked him as we got to the lockers
"I was thinking of going.. why?" he asked
"he invited Annie, Hallie, Lola and me"
"I, umm didn't know you were friends with him.."
"im not.. actually I dont know why he had invited me - I mean we have never really spoke before"
"he just wants to get in your pants" he shrugged
"how great" I said sarcastically
"I will genuinely kill him if he comes near you" Zach and Jack have always been extremely over protective of me, but sometimes they can go too far
"was he flirting when he asked?"
"I honestly cant remember Zach"
"well - you need to tell me if he ever does"
I sighed - he still didn't really answer me
"so are you going or no?" I asked
"if you'll go as my date, then yeah"
"date? Zach you dont need dates for a party"
"I know but Alexis always goes to his parties so"
"ugh fine" I said running my hand though my hair, as I was putting stuff in my locker I felt his hand land on my butt, I instantly smacked It off
"seriously zacky?" I shook my head
"Alexis is coming" he said
"so? just dont touch my butt" he laughed but put his hand back
"Zach!" I snapped and pushed him off my ass again
"wow - alright gee" he said
"oh well look at this." a very squeaky high voice came from over Zach's shoulder, I rolled my eyes knowing it was her - Alexis - I mean how could he spend more than a minute with her? ew
"I didn't know if I should believe the rumours but now that ive seen it for myself, I know its ture" she snickered "the new slut of the school" she shot a smile at me
"what the fuck did you just call me?" I raised my voice getting angry
"babe, calm down" Zach said grabbing my arm, sort of holding me back
"dont start anything Alexis, not with Jessica at least" Zach said, sticking up for me
"oh, so your protective over her too - you must really like her Zachy" Alexis said
"dont call me that" he snapped
"oh come on zachy.." she grabbed his hand and he ripped it away instantly
"dont touch me, or talk to me. we are over - if you didn't know"
"you might as well leave" I crossed my arms and watched her walk away.

"oh my god.... jess... its working!" I could tell he was excited....
