T W E L V E

Jessica's POV

I was sat on the sofa with my Nana and Cooper waiting for Zach to come pick me up. I wore really ripped jeans and a string croptop - since I had to wear Zach's Jersey later on. after a while I heard the door bell go off and I got up and basically ran there.

"whos there?" my nana asked
"Zach" I said, I heard Cooper snicker and I glared at him
"isn't he giving you a lot of rides, why wont you drive?"
"never turn down an offer to save on gas nana" I laughed, then opened the door
"hey" I said, Zach looked up from his phone and smiled at me
"hey jess" he said and walked in. he was wearing the teams away? jersey and had the other in his hand - im guessing that one is for me. I closed the door behind him and he sat at the kitchen island, before talking he handed me the jersey so I went to change in the bathroom. I looked in the mirror and I tucked it into my bra, making it seem cropped. I walked out and saw my nana now talking to Zach

"do you want some breakfast Zach?" she asked
"no thanks Mrs Davis" he smiled
"you are so polite Zachery - you could teach our Jessica a few things" she looked over at me
"oh I can teach her a lot" he smirked at me, I rolled my eyes at both of them. I dont think my nana understood what he meant which was good.
"dude.. gross" cooper muttered as he walked into the room, I saw nana had made him some poptarts so I grabbed one and licked it
"hey! get your own chuffing pop tarts!" he shouted and ran over
"learn to share Cooper" I said as he snatched it off me, I snatched it right back
"nana!" he shouted
I rolled my eyes at him "stop being such a baby"
"crist, Jess give it back to him, we can stop somewhere on the way if you really are hungry" Zach said, I nodded and threw the pop tart at coopers head... it stuck to him making all chuckle as I grabbed my backpack and walked out the door with Zach. I shut it with a sigh
"luckily for you.. I already got you breakfast, so we wont have to stop" he said
"you.. did?" I looked at him confused, did he actually get me breakfast?
"of course" he sighed as he got in, I threw my bag in the back and sat in the passengers seat, he leant to the back and grabbed a dunkin bag. honestly my heart was beating so fast, that was so cute. quickly he started the car. I looked in the bag and saw cup of coffee and some doughnuts
"Zachy you didn't have to do this!" I said
"I know I didn't, but I wanted to" he smiled as he backed out the drive way. I took a sip of the coffee and smiled
"thanks" I said, he nodded. I then grabbed a doughnut and took a bite. school seemed really close because we were there not long after. Zach got out the car and so did I, as I walked up against him he grabbed my hand, I was looking around for Annie and the girls but they werent in our usual spot, though I saw Alexis with her new boyfriend. I mean he was kinda cute? but he was definitely a druggie. she stared me down as we walked through the door..

"babe, are you even listening?" Zach said
"huh?" I said and looked up at him
"I saiddddd" he groaned "your coming to the game tonight right?" he asked. the game...? ohh the game - well im not even prepared I dont have a jumper or anything, I nodded anyway.
"what time is it?" I asked
"5" he said. oh right I have enough time to go home and change then
"you should wear this though" he said and pulled on the bottom of the jersey I was wearing
"why does it smell so good" I giggled
"I washed it" he shrugged chuckling
"you washed it! for me!"
he lightly smacked my arm "oh my god.. you do like me" he said then took the doughnut from my hand and took a bite.
"hey!" I snatched it back from him and he smiled while he was chewing, I looked at him disgusted
"you have jam all over you" I said
".... give me a kiss" he said, his mouth still full
"nuh-huh get away from me!" I said and backed away
"come here" he said
"Stoppp Zach - im serious" I was laughing. then I ran into the school and he was right behind me
"Zach stop!" I shouted and I saw Jonah so I ran and hid behind him
"whats going on?" he asked looking at me "nice jersey jess" he winked
"tell Zach to go away" I said
"Zach go away" Jonah said
"no dude! tell her to kiss me!" Zach whined
Jonah chuckled "you know there is jam all over your mouth?"
"I know" Zach chuckled
"I dont want to!" I said and grabbed jonahs back moving him so he was blocking Zach again
"ill do it" Jonah shrugged jokingly
"dude not here" Zach said, I giggled
"oh yeah - sorry baby" Jonah said, I loosened my grip from jonahs back, thinking Zach would stop but no. he pushed Jonah out the way and grabbed me, he moved his face towards mine but I pushed him away.
"clean up and I will" I said, he let go of me and he wiped the jam with his jersey
"okay - now wheres my kiss?" he said. I could see alexis staring right at us. I turned back to Zach and saw he was now supper close.
"you, dont get one" I stuck my tongue out at him and ripped his hands off me
he gasped "what!"
"sorryyy" I shrugged
"ugh such bullshit!" he sighed
"you still have me dude" Jonah said
"yeah - okay atleast I have you" he smiled at Jonah
I shook my head
"im gonna go to class, see you guys at lunch" Jonah said then walked away.
"for a girl whos never had a boyfriend your hella good at this" Zach whispered in my ear, I hit him in the chest and he laughed "only joking geez" people started to stare at us as we were just standing with eachother "hey, lets make a deal - every good pass I make, you owe me a kiss" he said
"hell no" I thought about it for a minute "every goal" I smiled
"really?"
I nodded
"deal!" he grabbed my face and gave me a peck on the lips.
"aren't you two a happy couple?" a annoying voice said
Zach sighed "hey Alexis" I turned around and saw her standing with her boyfriend, he was looking at me like I was a fucking piece of meat.
"Zach, have you met David?" she asked him
"yeah - a lot" he replied, I actually felt uncomfortable as he was starring me down
"your wearing his jersey" she pointed at me
I nodded
"are you guys dating?" David asked still staring at me
I nodded again
"you never gave me your jersey" Alexis crossed her arms
"I never thought I had to" Zach shrugged
"but you had to give it to her?" she snapped, she was looking at me like a pile of dog poop
"I didn't have to. but you know.... I wanted to"
"why?" alexis asked
"because she is my girlfriend" Zach said as he chuckled "dont you understand that ive moved on?"
"I understand" she said
"I dont think you do" Zach snapped and shook his head. I took a look at David again and he was still starring at me. I got really uncomfortable so I moved closer to Zach and by instinct he put his arm around me.
"you do know you broke up with me" Zach said
"yeah.. I know - I just dont believe that you could of moved on so quickly" she said "especially to someone like her"
"god she is so much better than you ever where. and if you think im going to come back to you, you've got it wrong" he said "and would you stop fucking starring at her!" he snapped at david. he looked away but only for a few seconds - then a smirk appeared on his face
"bro is she good in bed?" he asked Zach, I gave him a death glare
"back the fuck off" Zach snapped again
"youd better keep her close, someone could take her from you" David licked his lips
"no one wold be stupid enough to take my girl from me" my girl? oh fuck my heart might just burst.
"I wouldn't be surprised at all if someone did... I mean she is so hot, id fuck her any time" he said, and I knew he was just doing it to piss Zach off. and of course Zach let it get to him, he let go of me and grabbed David by the collar of his shirt and pushed him up against a locker, Alexis and I both jumped as the lockers slammed back.

"say it again" Zach growled at him "I fucking dare you.."
a tight smirk formed on davids mouth. a crowd began to form and I looked over at Alexis - she had her arms crossed over her chest
"your girl, is hot as fuck man" david said. Zach swung for him and hit him in he face, I gasped
"Zach!" I shouted and ran to him. I tried pulling him off david but I couldn't, hes too strong, but then someone pulled me back and I stumbled, then I watched Jack and Corbyn pull Zach off David. I have never, ever seen Zach so mad, and this scared the shit out of me.. and right now I was terrified. what if he hit me like that..?

"Zach stop!" jack shouted, Zach didn't react but he was breathing very heavily
"this is bull shit" david said as he wiped the blood from his nose "Alex lets go" he said and grabbed alexis as he walked away. I just stood there trying to process what the hell just happened. when I did I looked back at Zach and he was just staring at me, I stared back for a few seconds before looking away

"jess" I heard him say, I ignored him and walked right passed him.
"jess wait" he said and I felt his arms wrap around my waist turning me to face him
"jess..." he said, I tried to void eye contact as much as possible. right now I was really, really scared of him. like I have never seen him like this, I also hate when people fight he knows that. he knows about wall the fights between my parents and he definitely knows how much that scares me.

"I didn't mean to get so angry in front of you" he said "and I really didn't mean to hit him in front of you, please dont be mad" he said
I wouldn't look at him
"look at me. please" I ignored him again, I then felt him touch the bottom of my chin with his hand making me flinch
".... your scared of me.." he whispered. I didn't answer AGAIN but he still grabbed my chin making me look at him
"id never hurt you jess" he whispered, I could feel his warm breath hit my face - I didn't realise we were this close. my heart was beating so fast and he could probably hear it
"im so, so sorry" he said - Zach Herron was apologising to me... that's something that never happens.
"I can take you home if you want" he asked
I shook my head "I should just go to class"
"jess"
"see you later.." I replied walking away
