Jessica's POV

i shut my locker and met up with Annie. we were on our way to english, and then lunch.
"so what exactly happened yesterday?" she asked
"what are you on about?" i asked
"well you texted me saying you were out back, but then i came out and you were in the front with Crawford - what did you guys do? make out or something?" she asked
i rolled my eyes "i barely know him" i said
"i know - but it seems like you like each other"
"how would you know, you havent seen us together"
"well he seems to like you"
"he was just being friendly"
"i dont think he is" he shrugged. i mean does he like me? wouldn't it be weird?
"oh hey, there he is" she said. i snapped my head up and looked at him. he smiled and waved, i did the same back. we walked to english and the class was already half full
"that was definitely an iwantyouinmybed smile" she winked. i laughed and shook my head. the minute the bell went off we took our seats, more students walked into the room. just as the lest bell rang Zach walked in
"that was close Mr. Herron" the teacher said. his hair was messier than usual and his shirt was kinda unbuttoned , we was definitely making out with someone in a closet somewhere. that someone was probably Alexis. Zach looked at me but i looked away.
"im sorry" he said to the teacher and took his seat at the back of the class. of course he wasn't in trouble, but if it was me id get into loads of trouble. but no of couse because it was Zach Herron he can do what the fuck he wants. that has always pissed me off, its cause of his parents you know.
i ran my hand through my still straightened hair moving it from my face.
"lest begin" the teacher asked as she sat down in front of the class i groaned and sat back in my seat, she talked about the book we were currently reading. she tried asking on of the stoners for an answer to one of the questions but he obviously didn't know.

"Mr. Herron, since you were late, you give it a go" she said, Zach sat up and cleared his throat
"urh. Romeo was coming home from the party and his friends were drunk, and being the caring and friendly guy he was he ran and hopped over the castle walls and ran towards the castle"
"and why did he do that Mr. Herron?"
"because he wanted to see Juliet again"
"does anyone have anything to add?" she asked, i took a deep breath and looked at her
"Romeo was not caring" i said
"uh pardon me miss. Davis?" she asked
"Romeo wasn't caring"
she nodded, agreeing with me
"he was actually quite pathetic, he was moping over some girl who rejected him" i said glancing at Zach
"he was in love" Zach said, fighting back
"if you call a one night stand love then sure" i said
"very good miss davis" i crossed my arms over my chest
"but then he realised he wanted someone else" he said "and he was in love"
"Romeo shouldn't have been so stupid. one night stands who does that?" i said
"maybe Juliet should explain to Romeo what happened because he is hella confused" Zach said
"i think everyone knows why Juliet its talking to Romeo"
"Romeo doesn't"
"if Romeo wasn't so stupid, he would still be friends with her"
"i think Juliet should tell Romeo why shes so upset and maybe he could fix the problem" he said
"Romeo cant fix it - he ruined everything!" i said. i dont think we were the only ones that noticed that we werent talking about the book anymore. Zach said nothing after that. i breathed out and sighed
"well" the teacher cleared her throat "what a... interesting conversation" she said looking at the both of us "looks like Romeo and Juliet have to figure out how to forgive each other" she looked at us again
i just rolled my eyes and sat back in my seat again.
the bell went off and i grabbed my things and stood up
"Jess" i heard Zach say. i just walked out the room, i saw Crawford walk about of the room across from us. i walked straight up to him.
"jess!" Zach shouted
"hey jess wait for me!" this time it was Annie "ugh dont talk to her" she said pushing past Zach "im going to get lunch be right back"
i went up to Crawford and he smiled - but it instantly dropped as he saw my face

"hey whats up?" he said
"Zach" i said
"you know you should probably talk to him. he seems so confused " he said "if i was in his position id want you to talk to me"
"i not ready to"
"you dont have to be friends with him jess, you should just let him know. and i have a feeling that its a lot more than him just cheating on you"
i bit my lip and rocked back and fourth
"oh you know how you lost the bet with me?" he said
i rolled my eyes smiling
"theres a soccer party this weekend, you down?" he asked
"urh soccer" i asked. soccer meant Zach was going to be there.. meaning he will try and talk to me
"yeah - werent you at the last one?" he asked
"yep - but i dont like soccer anymore"
"oh" he said "well i was thinking we could go together. it would be fun2
"okay" i said i mean why not?
"really?"
"yep"
"so... i know you just broke up with Zach but would you like to go with me... as a like date?" he asked "but we dont have to" he said quickly at the end
"yeah sure"
"awesome!" he smiled "so ill pick you up at 7, tomorrow" he said then he walked away, i was going to but a voice echoed behind me

"going to the party with Collins huh?" i didn't want to turn, i didn't want to look into his eyes. he'll trap me, he will draw me in to be friends with him again.
"i thought you werent the party type"
"i dont think its your business since we aren't friends" i said
"it is my business" he said stepping closer to me
"tell me how"
"i make it my business because i care about you Jess" he said and took a huge breath. not as much as you care about her
"dont you say that. dont say you care about me" i shook my head "you dont care one bit"
"i do jess! i care so much!" he sad
say it jess... but i cant. i cant say that he likes Alexis more than me, because he will put things together and he will figure out that i like him
"Zach" i said. he moved closer to me
"what?" he licked his lips and looked down at mine, i cant do this... not here.. not anywhere. i tried to push his hands away but he took mine, and held them with one hand. he cupped my face with the other hand and he slowly leaned in
"Zach..." i whispered . i was scared that if talked any louder my voice would crack.
"shh" he said, my eyes moved to the side to see Alexis staring right at us she gave me a look as if she wanted me to do it. i looked back at Zach and he was only inches away
"tell me if you want me to stop jess" i wanted this so so bad. but it was wrong, he had a girlfriend. i couldn't kiss him. i felt his soft lips on mine but i put my hand on his chest, and he stopped
"you have a girlfriend" i whispered, his eyes looked deeply into mine, he searched for a sigh that i actually wanted him to stop, but i didn't,, and i wasn't really showing it.
"not much of one" he whispered back. his breath was on my lips and my knees where weakening, if he wasn't holding me id be on he floor, collapsed, he slowly walked towards me making me crash into the lockers
"we cant do this" i whispered and pushed him back a little "i cant be the one you cheat on your girlfriend with" i whispered again. he kept staring at me but he didn't go
"tell me something" he said, tell me you like me back
"why dont you want to be my friend?" he said, i tucked my hair behind my ear
"because... because" i couldn't think of anything to say "you.. you are with her"
"that's not the only reason though is it? im your best friend you can tell me anything" he whispered, and he was getting even closer to me. his hands were shaking on my waist. maybe i should tell him, our friendship is already in bits.
