Jessica's POV

The bell rang. free period. and I was so happy this period was free, like I need to think about things and get some homework done. I walked out of maths and tucked a strand of hair behind my ear. I walked downstairs and too my locker - I needed to get my homework. I opened my locker and got out the homework folder then slammed it shut as I sighed. I started to walk towards the court yard, I was going to sit outside cause it was a nice day.

"hey Jess" Corbyn said as he waved at me, I waved back and smiled "have you seen Annie? I uh need to ask her something" he asked
I shook my head "did you try texting her?"
he nodded
"oh well sorry. I dont know where she is then" I said
"ah its fine, ill end up finding her" he said "thanks anyway" he walked away. im pretty sure him and Annie are getting close, ill have to ask her. I carried on walking but someone shouted my name again
"Jess!" it was Crawford
"Crawf" I smiled
"heya Beautiful. havent seen you in ages, how have you been?" he asked... beautiful? its not a big deal.. hes just been nice.
"im okay thanks. how about you?"
"fine" he smiled "how come your only okay?"
"well my grandad is in hospital, and Zach and I are sort of on good terms again" I said
"ah. im sorry about your grandad, if you dont mind me asking, whats wrong with him?" he asked, hes quite nice actually. and hes cute, ugh why did I have to fall for Zach?
"he has COPD, his lung collapsed"
"im sorry jess" he said
"its fine, um what do you have now?"
"free period"
"oh me too! do you want to come and sit outside with me?" I asked
"sureee" he said. I nodded and we walked together to the benches outside
"so you know about this whole hanging out this weekend thing" he said as we both sat down
I nodded
"we should go to the movies or something"
"yeah that sounds fun" I shrugged
"so when do you want to go?" he asked
"I dont know, like tomorrow or something?" I asked
"yeah sure" he replied "so, urm can I ask you something? you said something about sort of being on good terms with Zach again, do you still like him or something?"
I bit my lip, I dont know if I should tell him or what. maybe I should lie
"no, no I just want to be friends with him again"
"right, but you dont like him?"
"ugh what is this about?"
"nothing, you just deserve better" he shrugged
"that means a lot and al but I dont like him crawf" I said, and lets say he didn't seem convinced, so maybe I should add something "ive already learnt my lesson" I said, now he nodded. I think he was convinced but I dont know
"so what movies are on?" I asked
"let me have a look" he pulled out his phone and he started to scroll and I finished off my work
"theres IT" he said
"I dont really like scary movies" I said and he shrugged
"okay, how about a different movie?" he scrolled some more I saw a movie that looked good
"how about that, Birds Of Prey?" I said
"oh yeah - that a Harley Quinn movie, it seems good"
I nodded. then I carried on with a different piece of work and I heard a laugh, one I hate so much. I slowly turned around and saw Zach pinning Alexis against the wall, and his tongue was like half was down her throat. ewww. my smile instantly faded, and I felt jealously fly through me, my fists tightened as I looked away. I was still hurt when ever I saw them, but I have to hide it, pretend I didn't see it.
"hey, you look upset" Crawford said
"im fine" it came out so much meaner than it intended to, I sighed "im sorry I -"
"jealously huh?" he asked
"no, im not jealous, I just dont like them together"
"well that is jealously, but what ever floats your boat" he shrugged "you know im pretty sure he still likes you. you should play his game. hes trying to make you jealous right? so just make him jealous back" he said
"that doesn't normally end well..." I said thinking about the party at the beginning of the year.
"okay, its your choice, but know im always here for you" then the bell rung, I stood up
"ill see you later" I said, he nodded and I walked back inside.....
