S E V E N

Jessica's POV

I put my bag on the bleachers and took a seat, I was by myself, so it was a bit awkward. but Zach was here, and I tried to do absolutely everything I could before I came here, so I think there was only about 20 minutes left of practice. the coach blew the whistle and shouted something at them. I saw them all line up so I knew they had to do sprints - the worse thing about practice as Zach said. I watched as they all took a sip of water before they started running, I saw Zach run his hands though his hair and it was soaked with sweat - honestly ew. the coach shouted 'on the whistle!' he blew the whistle and Zach took off, all the other guys were running together but when they turned to come back round Zach sped up and went over the line before anyone else could. everyone else was out of breath but Zach wasn't even out of breath. they ran the sprints once more, I moved down to the fence to get a better look at him. hes like in really, really good shape, and real fast. theres no wonder hes captain .

"good work boys" coach said
"and great finish to those sprints Herron. Im guessing its for the lady" he coach pointed at me
"you know it coach" Zach winked at me, I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms, the rest of the guys laughed and grabbed their stuff before walking over to me.
"im gonna go for a quick shower - ill be right back for you" Zach said "but you can join if you want..."
I rolled my eyes, the guys laughed
"maybe when you stink less" I pushed him away but my hands were drenched in sweat "ew Zach, you have such a sweating problem" I gagged
"its called work babe" he shrugged "now give me a hug"
"hell no" I backed away "dont you dare!" he came closer "zachy... please" he opened his arms wide and came closer, I looked around quickly and grabbed jack pulling him in front of me
"jack make him stop!" I shouted
"alright - here ill give you a hug" jack said and hugged Zach
"ewww" I groaned, they rolled their eyes at me before going off to the showers. I walked to the carpark and sat on the curb by his car, I was on my phone when I heard footsteps come up to me, so I looked up and saw Zach, he walked out ONLY wearing shorts, so I could see his six pack. some people outside whistled at him as he walked at me smirking. my cheeks turned bright red when I realised he was smirking.
"take a picture it will last longer babe" he laughed
"go fuck yourself" I pulled a middle finger up at him and he just chuckled before helping me up "oh and put a shirt on hot stuff" I laughed
he tutted and pulled a t-shirt over his head
"come on, ill drive you"
"oh finally!" I said getting into his car
"nah, come on you loved watching me sprint"
"well your fast" I shrugged
"I know" he flipped his none existant hair from his shoulder making me laugh, but then I gave him a mean look
"what?" he questioned
"well you know when someone complements you, you dont say 'I know'" I mocked him "you be nice and say thank you, so try again zacky"
"I - uh thank you?"
"there better!" I shrugged
"you aren't my mom you know... well you better not be my mom because ive been wanting to make out with you all day" he said "oh speaking of making out, about that kiss ... last night" he cleared his throat
"we didn't kiss last night"
"yeah, but we almost did"
I just shrugged
"come on you wanted to kiss me" he smirked
"you leaned it first! I just did so it wasn't awkward" I lied
"fuck jess you are such a bad liar" he laughed , I didn't say anything
"for real though, did you want to kiss me?"
"I mean.. it would of - I mean I would of liked to see if I felt something"
he nodded
"but wanting to kiss you? yeah I dont think so" I joked "come on though, who would want to kiss Zach Herron?" I smiled and he chuckled
"every girl in our school" he said in a duh tone
"except for me"
"oh dont worry that'll change.... you'll fall for the herron charm"
"nah I doubt it"
"we have been friends for years. and I havent fallen for your so called 'charm'"
"that's because ive never tried - and your different than other girls, I just need to go full blast with you"
I laughed "honey, I wont fall for it - I know your tricks way to well"
"I might have new ones" he winked "I know everything about you... I can easily make you fall in love with me"
"and you would you want to do that? huh? so you can just kick me to the side?"
"obviously not Jess" he smiled "ill let you down gently"
"you are such a fucking jerk!"
"rude!" he clicked his tongue as he pulled up outside my house "anyway ill see you tomorrow"
"yeah" I replied and walked into the house.....
