Jessica's POV

I could hear the loud music blasting from down the street. I honestly felt so bad for Lucas's neighbours, he has like parties every other day - if they are all like this, nothing good will end of it. the party started like over an hour ago. when we got to the door Lola opened it for us and we walked into his huge house. it reeked of alcohol and sweat, then again the house Is probably always smells like this .

"hey!" Annie said
"hey!" I replied standing next to her, seconds later her twin sister came up to us with Lola
"you guys better come dance!" Hallie (annie's twin) shouted over the music
annie and I shared glances
"nah its okay, you two go have fun!" I said and shooed Hallie and lola way, they shrugged and went to dance together
"you want to go get a drink?" annie asked, I nodded and we made our way over to the drinks table, I hardly knew anyone there, most probably dont even go to our school. Annie poured me a drink then handed me the cup, I thanked her as I took it - I had straightened my hair to come so it felt really weird, I ran my hand though it and looked around the house, I scanned the sweaty bodies to try and find Zach, which I ended up doing. he was sitting on the sofa with Daniel, Jonah and Corbyn of course they were all holding red solo cups in their hands, Zach said something to Jonah which made them all laugh, then Daniel nodded towards someone on the dance floor and Zach turned around, I followed where they were looking and I saw that they were looking at Alexis, she was grinding on some guy classic slut her dress was so so sluty, like her tits were practically out.
Zach leaned back in the chair and took a sip of his drink watching her carefully - I knew Zach didn't really like people but why is he going through all this trouble for this one girl who cheated on him everyday? he must have some genuine feelings for her, I dont know why but a feeling of jealousy went though me as I watched the way he looked at her, he messed with his hair and Daniel said something to him, I saw Zach blink a few times then he looked at Daniel, I looked away from them to look at Annie.
"this party is bad" she laughed
"hi" some dudes said from behind us, we turned around quickly, it was two boys wearing UCLA hoodies - collage students.. great
"wow, so your the type of guys who turn up to a party in your collage hoodies hoping to get girls?" I laughed
"I guess so" the one with blonde hair shrugged
"whats your name?" the one with brown hair asked annie
"annie" she said slowly
"well, you are just so beautiful Annie, wanna dance?" the boy asked, Annie looked at me and I nodded
"okay, sure" she looked back at the guy and then I watched the both of them walk off to the dance floor
"so that leaves you and me" the blonde guy said
shit I forgot about him
"whats your name?" he asked
"Jess" I took a big sip of my drink
"whats yours?"
"Ethan" he ran his hand though his hair "this party sucks" he laughed
"ye? well are your UCLA parties better?" I sassed
he nodded "so much better, you should come to one soon"
"i dont think i should" i took another sip
"whys that then?"
"im not a fan of parties, i hate them actually"
"so why are you here?"
"just here to make my image look better with this one guy" he raised his brows "yes i know what you are thinking, no im not that type of person"
"i mean it seems that way" he shrugged
"its hard to explain" i chuckled
"well i literally have nothing better to do - hit me with your best shot"
"oh my life is boring, you wouldn't want to hear" i shrugged taking another sip of my drink. i then looked back at the sofa seeing Zach staring at Alexis again
"its that kid huh?" Ethan asked
"who now?" i asked, looking back at him
"the guy, the one you are here with" he was looking at the sofa "so which one is it?"
"im with him" i pointed at Zach "sort of"
"huh? what do you mean sort of?"
"its really complicated"
"friends with benefits?" he questioned
"no" i said looking at him
"oh i knew" he smiled
"so why did you ask"
"just making sure you know" he chuckled "also you dont seem the type of girl who would be into that"
"oh? so what do i seem like"
"you seem like one who doesn't really know where you stand, and they are with the wrong type of guy" he said, i looked back at Zach before looking at ethan again
"wow, you are good" i laughed
"i can just read people" he shrugged
"i can tell how you look at him - and he is just watching that girl grinding on the guy"
"i.. - i dont like him" i cleared my throat
"of course you dont" he smirked, i rolled my eyes even though i couldn't help but smile
"oh my god, i actually made a girl smile! that's a first" he laughed, i knew he was joking though he was just saying that to lighten the mood.
"so how about you tell me about mr lover boy" he smiled "have you liked him long?"
"i told you, i dont like him"
"right... sorry" he chucked "then how long have you known him?"
"very long time, we are best friends" i said, he nodded and took another sip
"you seem real stressed, you should just drink more though" he shrugged, i agreed
"whats going on with you and him then?"
"ugh we are fake dating - only so he can get back that girl whos grinding on that guy"
"oof" he took a sip of his drink "you are really up for doing this just for him?"
"yeah, i guess"
"that's brave - i could never"
"why not?" i asked
"because i would fall for the girl, after a while as you act like a couple you will start to develop feelings" he shrugged "and i can tell, you are already starting to develop feelings"
"no" i lied - i was starting to think that i was already drunk? like why was i telling this guy all these things?
"im telling you right now jess - you are going to get hurt, this really isn't a good idea, and when he does get that girl back who are you going to be with?" he asked, but i didn't answer i just bit the inside of my lip.
"im not trying to like make you feel bad though"
i chuckled "thanks for the advice, i appreciate it - i just feel like he doesn't even notice me most of the time, you know?" i said, he nodded
"i know just how you feel" he thought for a bit "you could always make him jealous back..."
"that is not the best idea" i laughed "fuck it - ive already gotten myself into this mess - why not?" i said, ethan immediately smirked and set his solo cup down
"can i have this dance?" he stuck his hand out for me, i giggled a little and nodded taking his hand

Zach's POV

Alexis looked so hot tonight, like the dress was perfect on her.
"that dude who is dancing with Alexis is like drooling over her tits" Jonah said, i laughed and looked at the guy, Jonah was right, then Alexis looked at me and winked, i looked away and ran my hand though my hair
"this is going to be a hell of a interesting night" i sighed
"where's Jess?" Corbyn asked as he sat down
i shrugged
"i thought you were coming here with her?" he asked
"yeah, me too" i said, then i pulled out my phone and quickly texted her

then i put my phone back in my pocket and sighed
"oh is that Jess?" Daniel asked
"huh?" i questioned
"on your lock screen" i pulled my phone back out of my pocket and turned it on, the picture jacks mom took of us flashed up on the screen
"you guys look happy" Daniel said
Jonah and Corbyn looked over
"dude you have never looked happier" Corbyn said
"yeah, its crazy what she does to you" Jonah added. you know ive been thinking the same thing, by now if i was doing normally i would have cheated on her already, but i havent.
"shes a good catch dude" Corbyn said i took a sip of my drink. im not big drinker, but i only did when i was stressed out, or when i was alone. and i had no plans on 'cheating' on Jess with Alexis tonight because i know she is waiting for me to get drunk so she can grab me. i grabbed my phone again and expected to see a reply from Jess but she never replied

what if something had happened to her?
"ey do you think she bailed on me?" i asked
"nah her friends are here" Jonah replied and nodded towards someone. i lifted my head and saw her friend Annie i think, dancing with some guy, i decided id get up and walk over to her

"hey" i said and she looked up at me
"Zach" she said
"do you have any idea where Jess is?" i asked
"shes here, havent seen her in ages though"
i nodded thanks and walked away, so know i knew shes here, but where is she?
i went to walk back to the sofa but when i got there there was some girl sat there smirking up at me
"what are you doing?" i asked
"w, sorry am i in your spot?" she asked
"yeah, clearly" i said rudely, i didn't mean for it to come out like that, but this girl was trying to hard and it was getting annoying. she got up from my seat and i sat down
"do you mind if i sit with you?" she said. and she was definitely tried to shove her boobs in my face, i rolled my eyes
"yeah - id mind a lot" she gave me a weird look, and i could tell all the boys were staring at me
"why are you still here?" i said
she looked at Jonah and then walked away. the guys burst with laughter

"oh my god dude" Corbyn said
"she was hot man - why didn't you take the chance?" Daniel asked
"didn't want her" i shrugged
"damn" Corbyn said
"Zach" Jonah tapped me "i found jess" he said. i quickly shot my head up and i saw Jess dancing with some guy. i knew him aswel, Ethan Drake. hes a freshman in collage, he was a senior at our school last year.

"looks like she isn't so innocent after all" Daniel said
"fuck off" i replied
"wow, dude calm down" Corbyn said
"why the fuck is she dancing with him?"
the guys all looked at eachother
"im going to do something about it - i cant let him steal her away from me.....
