J, I need your help. I want to tell Dot I'm in love with her but I'm not sure if my plan is too lame, or if will work Joe texts his best friend.
Well what is your plan? His best friend texts back.
Joe tells Jamie his plan. Mate, I think that's perfect. She'll love it. Trust me.
Really? You think it'll work? He texts back.
Yes I do. It's hella romantic.
''Joey?'' The sound of Dianne's voice interrupts his conversation with Jamie.
''You OK, sweetie?'' He smiles.
''Yes I'm fine. Teddy is awake. Are you ready to meet him?'' She smiles.
His heart started beating out of his chest from mixed emotions. Nerves and excitement.
He takes a deep breath. ''I think so.''
''Come on. He'll love you.'' She smiles, reassuring him.
He nods, taking her hand as they head to where her son is.
''Mumma!'' An excited Teddy runs to his Mum.
''Hey little man,'' She ruffles his hair. ''I've got someone who wants to meet you.''
''Doe?'' He asks, cocking his head.
''Yes little man. I've got Joe for you.'' She grins.
A nervous Joe steps forward, kneeling down to the three year old's level. ''Hey, bud.'' Smiles Joe.
''Doe.'' The three year old replies, hugging him.
Dianne could feel her heart soar.
''Hey, I got you a present all the way from London.'' He suddenly remembers the gift he had bought him.
''Joe you didn't have to do that.'' Dianne smiles, placing a hand on her heart.
''I know I didn't have to. I wanted to.''
''You're adorable. Thank you.'' Gushes Dianne.
''You stay there I'll be right back.''
Joe goes upstairs and opens his case, pulling the present out and heading back downstairs.
''Here little man, this is for you.'' He hands him the presents.
''What do you say, Ted?''
''Fank oo.'' Smiles a toothy Teddy.
''Joe that's a lot. You said a present.''
''Its fine, they weren't a lot of money. Besides, I wanted to get on his good side,'' Jokes Joe. ''Seriously, it's fine. He's worth it.''
Dianne felt her heart swoon once again. She was the luckiest.
Teddy opens all his presents, excitedly.
