Meryl was alone at home. She didn't want to go out but was already being bored. One week had passed and now she was feeling better, even missing her hubby. Every day before going to bed they had a call and that made her feel good.

He would be home only in the next week, so she thought that it would be great to invite Mammie to spend some time with her. Lou and Gracie weren't in the US, Meryl was needing one of the girls. Although she was better, the loneliness was slowly approaching her. Loneliness plus boredness sure could kill her.

After breakfast, Meryl decided to call her eldest daughter.

Hi mom. Morning, what's up?

Hi sweetheart! I'm ok but needing my babies.

Oh, mom. - Mammie laughed

What ya think about spending this week with momma?

It's ok. I finished filming so I'm free. I'll go.

Oh, girl, I'm so happy. I'll make us some lunch, ok?

Sure. Do my chocolate cake for dessert.

Of course, little girl.

And how is Dad?

He's in Japan. Some people want him to make more pieces, so the work is going well. He is having fun, that boy adores what he does.

Oh, that's good.

Yeah. He will be one more week there, though.

Oh, momma, chill. - She knew her parents... she laughed.

Ok, love you!

Bye, mom. Love you too.

Meryl was over the moon. How she loves her family. After talking to her daughter, she hurried to the kitchen. The lunch will be perfect.

Two hours later, Mammie was in her mom's apartment.

mommy! I'm home! She yelled.

my girl! I miss you. They hugged

I'm hungry so let's eat!

"So did you have fun filming?"

"Yeah. I really like it, mom. Now I understand you for real. I love what I do."

"I feel happy, honey."

"How are you doing without Dad?"

"I miss that fucking man."

"Oh, I see." - She laughed.

"Sometimes I feel lonely..." - she said, looking down.

"I'm sorry, mommy. Dad will be here sooner than you think."

"Yeah. He better." - she laughed.

They ate and continued to chat, for hours. Meryl suggested a movie for them to watch at night.

Meryl ordered pizza and chocolate cake, Mammie made the popcorn. It's unlike but they decided to watch a horror movie.

Mom, can I sit on your lap? - Mamie moved closer to her mother.

Come here, girl. - Meryl opened her arms.

Meryl doesn't like this kind of movie but it doesn't hurt. Today, only today, she agreed to do this. In the middle of the movie, though, she was freaking out.

God, can we just turn it off? - Meryl was terrified.

Mom, it's almost ending

You're gonna sleep with me, girl.

Oh, mom. - She laughed.

They ended up sleeping together. Holding each other.

Morning, darl. Here I'm going to bed... - Don said on the other side of the line.

Morning, love. Mammie is here with me. She is sleeping yet, but last night we had fun... well, no fun because we watch a horror movie.

Augh, darl. And you could sleep?

Not really, but she slept with me.

Now, you are the kid. - They giggle.

You see... I'm now the one who is scared to sleep alone at night... - she said it without stopping laugh.

"Whatcha doing?"

"Right now I'm drinking coffee, sitting on the kitchen counter."

You know, I miss having you in my bed."

"Perv man!"

"No, just in love permanently..."

Such a cutie, hmm. - She was smiling.

I cannot wait to have you in my arms. - He was charming.

"Me too, darl. Me too."

"Well, well, Ms. Streep, do I deserve a striptease?"

"I don't know. Maybe, but I don't know, Mr." - she was teasing.

"I'm a good boy..."

"I'll see it."

"Don't forget, Mrs. Gummer... Honey, I'm sleepy..."

"Ok, darl. Good night. Sleep well and dream about me."

"Oh, sure. Bye, love you."

"Love you."

Mammie entered the kitchen, listening to her mother speaking with someone. 

"Morning, mom. Whom were you talking with?"

"Dad."

"Oh, everything alright?"

"Yeah, baby. We just said good night."

"How are you doing today, mommy?"

"I am fucking happy that you are here with me." - She hugged daughter

"So, I'm happy to."

"Wanna eat?"

"Of course!"
