A few weeks later, the New Mushroomton High School was back to its regular self, thanks to the help of Ian Lightfoot. Madi helped out some, but she needed to tend to her injuries first, which her health was more important (at least to Ian it was). During those weeks, the elf girl recovered carefully but quickly without any trouble. Once she was all better, she goes back to school and helped out with any of the remaining things that needed to be done to repair it. One day, Ian was giving a speech to his class, telling them about magic and such. Madi watches on, a smile on her face. When he finished, the bell rings, signaling that the school day has ended. Some kids congratulated him on his speech and asked if him and Madi were still coming to the park later, to which he said yes. The elf girl picks up her bag and walks up to him. "You did great, Ian" she said. "Thanks, Madi. Ready to get going?" he asks her, to which she replied with a nod. "Ready if you are" she said to him. The two walked out of the school, hand in hand, and walked back home.

When they walked past Madi's house, Mallory and Cadence walk out the door, with Toby and Katie in their arms. "Hey you guys" the elf girl said to them. "Hey Madi" her moms said, while the twin babies babbled happily to their older sister. Echo also walks out the door as well, who is now wearing a brand new indigo blue collar. When she sees the two young teens, she barks and runs up to them, jumping into Madi's arms and licks her face. "Hello to you too, Echo" she said to her, petting the baby dragon affectionately. "Hey Echo" Ian said, petting her as well. He looks at the collar and asked his girlfriend "how's she doing with the collar?" "Oh, she's doing good. She really seems to like it, don't you girl?" she replied, stroking Echo's chin, causing her to churr in contentment. Madi looks back at Cadence and Mallory and asked "where are you guys off to?" "Oh, we're going to the Brightwood's place to visit. The twins are going to have their own little playdate with their little one" Cadence said. "We plan on being back before too late" Mallory adds. The elf girl smiles at them and ruffles her younger siblings hair. "Well, you guys have fun" she tells them. "We will, and have fun at the park, you two" said her mother. "Yea, just don't be making out when your friends aren't looking" her mom said. That made the two teens blush madly. "Mom!" Madi said, almost screaming. "Mallory!" Cadence said to her wife. "What? I was kidding" Mallory explained to her while laughing a bit. She turns back to her daughter and her boyfriend and said "have fun, you guys". With that being said, they put Katie and Toby in the car and they drove off to their destination.

Madi couldn't stop the sigh from escaping her lips as she turned to Ian. "Sorry about that" she said, still a bit embarrassed by Mallory's words. "It's okay, Madi. I'm getting the feeling that we're probably gonna hear a lot more of that later on" he tells her as they continued walking to his house, with Echo still in the elf girl's arms. When they got there, Blazey immediately tackles the elf boy to the floor, just as him and Madi enter through the door. She licks all over his face, which made both the young teens laugh. "Blazey" the elf girl said. She puts Echo down and the baby dragon goes to greet the energetic dragon. Blazey sees her and barks happily. Before she could approach her, Laurel comes in to try to get her off of her son. "Blazey, down" she said, a laugh in her voice. Ian picks her up and scratches her belly while saying "who's a good dragon?" Madi couldn't help but find that pretty cute. After Blazey and Echo run off to play, Laurel turns to the young teens and asked "so, how was school?" "It was really good" said Ian. "Yep, it was good for me, too" said Madi. "Well, alright!" said the Lightfoot's mother. Then, Colt walks up to them and said "there they are, working hard?" "Nope, hardly working" both teens said, causing the centaur cop to laugh. As he did that, Laurel tells them that she was going out with Corey on a night out. After she said that, Colt's comm goes off and he rides off to the station, without even needing his police car.

Ian and Madi watch as he leaves, but then Barley comes up from behind his younger brother and puts him in a hold. The elf boy apprehends him by flipping him behind, causing him to fall on the floor, making him chuckle a bit. The elf girl couldn't help but be amazed by that sure strength. After Ian helps him up on his feet, Barley leads the young teens to the backdoor and to his new van he got, Guinivere the Second. "So, how's the new van?" Madi asks the older brother. "Oh, Guinivere the Second is great! I almost got enough saved up to get a new paint job" he replied. "No, please don't" the younger brother said. "What? Why not?" Barley asked. Ian and Madi look at each other for a moment and he said "cause we already took care of it". When he said that, he showed his brother the new design on his van. It was the three teens and Echo riding on top of a Pegasus in their warrior, wizard and sorceress outfits. "Oh oh, yeah!" Barley cried, amazed by what they did.

They all get into the van and Barley backs out of the driveway. He turns to Madi and Ian and said "okay, best way to the park is a little something I like to call the Road of Ruin". "Eeh, that's too obvious" the younger brother said, leaving his older brother a little confused. The elf girl smiles a bit and said "on a quest, a clear path is never the right one". After she said that, Ian casts the levitation spell on the van, which made Barley get excited and Madi to hang on tightly to her boyfriend. He smirks a little as he held onto her gently but tightly. "Don't worry, Madi, I won't let you fall" he said to her. She looks at him and smiles a bit. "I know you won't" she said, placing a light kiss on his cheek, which made the elf boy smile widely. With that being said and done, Ian makes Guinivere the Second fly off through the sky, onward to another quest with his brother and his girlfriend.
