Chapter 14 - "Suspicious"

GULF'S POV
As I look at the mirror the next day, I could see dark circles around my eyes, simply because I can't sleep properly last night thinking about P'Mew and the thing between us. As far as I can remember, I even screamed in my pillow and keep on going around my room with a smile on my face, I'm such a gay, for P'Mew.

"Gulf, about the football match this coming Friday, there would be—" Bright paused, waving a hand in front of my face, snapping me out of my thoughts. "Gulf?" Bright said, "Huh?" "What I was trying to say is, there would be practice tomorrow for the football match on Friday, you go?" Bright asks, I nodded my head immediately gaining weird looks from them.

"Something's off with you." Pavel said as they keep looking at me suspiciously, "By the way, where's Mew?" Bright asks me, expecting me to know as I shudder and frown. "I don't know." I swear, that doesn't convince them even just a bit.

"Alright, tell us what happened." Mild spit out of a sudden, my eyes widen making them chuckled at my actions, making me annoyed yet blushing at the same time. "What are you talking about? Nothing happened." I said anxiously as I munch my sandwich in one bite avoiding their questions. I don't know if I should tell them or not.

"Well, your eyebags says it all." Bright commented as they all laughed, irritating the hell out of me. They continue teasing me without knowing what really happened yesterday, making me feel relieved or else I'll freak out.

"Hey, really, where's Mew?" Pavel asks as Bright just shrugged it off while looking around. "Gulf, do you really have no idea?" Bright asks once again as I shook my head in response.

Not to mention, I'm getting worried now, for lunchtime is about to end already yet we still haven't seen P'Mew, even his shadow. He doesn't even contact me since last night. Then, Bright's phone suddenly rings out of nowhere as he quickly swipes the screen and answer his phone.

MEW'S POV
I've been studying since earlier this morning; I don't even have time to eat because I must finish my worksheet this day. To be honest, I'm so hungry but I don't dare eat now or else, my professor would not accept my work later. "Mew, are you almost done? You should eat." Tul, my other friend, said to me sarcastically.

"I'm definitely not finish yet, so I won't eat." I answer without looking at him as he chuckled before leaving me alone. My head is about to bursts any moment now, so I decided to relax a bit and contact Bright while walking outside the library.

"Hello?"
"Hello, Mew!"
"What's up? Why are you shouting?"
"We're worried about you, you don't even show up! Where are you?!"
"Oh, I'm in the library, I'm finishing my worksheet, I forgot to do it."
"Then, why didn't you tell us? Gulf is freaking worried."
"I got quite busy, Sorry."
"It's fine, just finish it, okay?"
"Okay, how are you guys? Gulf?"
"We're fine, he's fine now, have you eaten yet?"
"No, since I woke up, hahaha..."
"You... Eat after, understood? Bye now!"
"Yup, I'll get going now, bye!"

I smile as I ended the call, I go back instantly to finish my worksheet.
(2 hours later...)
Thank goodness, I'm already done, I don't know it'll took me about six hours to finish, I'm so damn hungry. I'm so lucky that I only have two classes to attend to today, which is why as soon as I finish my worksheet, I passed it to my professor immediately and proceeded to the cafeteria without hesitation.

Gulf suddenly cross my mind as I keep eating, and to what happened last night, I should've called or texted him. He must've been worried; I literally forget about him. I'm such a fool. So, I texted him.

GULF'S POV
By the time classes are over, I immediately rushed to the cafeteria without waiting for my other friends because P'Mew texted me that he'll be eating and be waiting for me there. I thought I'll be seeing him eating deliciously, but he's still reading some books when I see him.

I quickly go to him and placed my bag to the table, making him look up to me and smile, making me smile as well. "You don't even call or text me that you are busy." I said sulking and he giggle while slowly holding my hands, indicating me to seat down.

"I'm sorry if I had you worrying, well I'm fine now, I ate already." P'Mew answer apologetically so I give up and stop sulking already. "By the way, how's your day? I don't even have time to stop by at your class. I'm really sorry." P'Mew said, as I sighed heavily.

"It's okay, P'Mew. I'll be practicing for the football match on Friday tomorrow." I said, "Can you wait for me?" I added shyly, I don't know but I felt like a very impatient boyfriend of P'Mew now, even though I'm not, sadly.

"Of course, I would, definitely." He said as we stand up to go home together but to our surprise, our other friends are here coughing and giggling like crazy, obviously, teasing us.

"You two are getting more and more suspicious, you know?" Mild commented as P'Mew and I look at each other shyly. "Wait, wait, wait, are you two together already?" Bright asks so I shook my head in denial but P'Mew just stands there looking straight at them, so I look at him frowning and confuse so he slowly shook his head but with a smile earning weird looks from the three, Pavel asks, "What's that supposed to mean?"

"We're not YET together, I guess, we're just dating for now. I like to pursue Gulf first, knowing each other more would be better, right?" P'Mew confirmed as they tease both of us laughing as I blush with his words, he even holds my hand, making me shy even more. "If that's alright with you." P'Mew added as I nod while smiling, leaning my head to his shoulder.
