"Daddy, do you think my team will win the game?"
Jin was glad that he could at least be stable when Hyun-su was around. He wasn't happy, but with the boy at the table, enjoying his breakfast could be a bit easier process.
Unlike the day and night before, Jungkook didn't give him those deadly stares. The Alpha's eyes were just indifferent as he kept having his breakfast across him in peace.
"I don't think. I'm sure you'll win it, baby." Taehyung answered his son, and then gave him a fond pat on his shoulder.
"But I'm not so sure. They said our opponents are really good." Hyun-su lowered his head as he uttered in a voice a little above whisper.
"Someone is in a mood! Don't worry yourself, Su. Just try your best and whatever the result is, daddy and I think you're still amazing."
Jungkook finally opened his mouth, and his voice for certain stood out proudly because every single word he pronounced was with the intention of cheering the boy with its own cheerfulness.
Yet suddenly what Jin didn't expect was to see the aforementioned Alpha grab his chest with one hand and close his eyes tightly. Jungkook kept being in that posture for a while. Jin stopped eating and watched the Alpha warily.
"Are you ok, uncle Kookie?" Hyun-su asked as he got down from his chair to stand next to his supposed uncle.
The boy was one second close to break down into tears, and it sounded like Jungkook heard that in his voice as he at once put himself together.
"I'm fine, big boy! I just felt dizzy for a moment. Last night we were all so beat, but we didn't get enough sleep." Jungkook answered the boy in a reassuring tone, but then he turned his head towards Jin's direction all of a sudden, making him antsy for no actual reason.
"How about you, Seokjin? How was the first night in your new house? Did you sleep well?"
The Alpha wore a curious face after darting his questions at Jin's face, but he frowned instantly when the Omega answered him with those always three-to-go words to escape clutches.
"It was fine."
Jin hung his head low, his eyes fully focused on his food after his short reply. He couldn't bear the Alpha's dark gaze again.
"Do you always tend to answer everything this short? Nobody is quiet to this extreme, I assume."
Jungkook wasn't the one to back off from this conversation, not any longer. He somehow felt pity for the Omega, but he needed his answers.
"I really like to know the answer to this question. Were you like this in your parents' home, too?" Taehyung who was silent for a while couldn't keep it in him anymore either.
Jin forced his saliva down his throat and prayed inside for a miracle straight from god, but the two Alphas were fixedly glaring at him, waiting expectantly for his reply. Even to his bad luck, Hyun-su didn't say anything in between to distract the two from his existence.
"I-I don't like talking." he stuttered evidently. The Omega was too ashamed of his way of speaking that he dropped his fork on the floor clumsily. At this point, he wanted to cry out loud, but he just held himself.
"Gosh, you're weird!"
He heard Jungkook's amazed voice as he bent down to pick his fork. He was sweating all over and he could feel trickles of the liquid on his chest, flowing down to his abdomen.
"I always thought Jimin was too much, but I can't believe I'm saying I like him more and more every second passing by being with you! This is not a normal behavior." Taehyung let out in a stern tone and wiped his mouth with his napkin. The Alpha then stood up on his feet.
Instantly, Hyun-su rose with his father. Jin noticed how the small boy was watching him with a somber expression which was too much for someone at his age and also for his own being. He was sick of those pitiful stares.
"Su, go lace up your sneakers. I'll come soon." Taehyung demanded his son and pulled him a little to make him move. When the boy left the dining, his husband turned his body to Jungkook.
"Make sure my parents, his, and anyone in total won't see him for now. He isn't marked yet." he told the other Alpha in a serious tone.
Jungkook who had his eyes on Jin's poor soul hummed in confirmation. Taehyung bid his goodbye, mostly to Jungkook after asking what he had in mind. The atmosphere grew awkward right away after his departure; not that it was something wonderful before.
Even though his food almost wasn't touched, Jin attempted to leave the table, but Jungkook's voice rooted him back to his seat.
"Where are you going, Seokjin? Your food isn't finished."
Jin felt like a kid with the way the Alpha spoke to him. He was an adult who could leave his food however he liked, but he decided to not do anything that irritate the other more.
"I saw the way you got baffled last night in the car when Taehyung mentioned I live in here with you. I hope you don't mind." Jungkook said in a casual tone as he watched the Omega go back to his food.
"I don't mind." Jin muttered under his breath. He didn't realize with that answer he just made the other more agitated.
"Can you stop it?! Do you really feel that way?" Jungkook let out in between his gritted teeth for he didn't want to lose his cool.
In that moment, Jin felt it; he felt his blood boiling. He felt it with every vessel in his body how unfair the entire world was to him. This man had no right to speak to him like that.
He narrowed his eyes at the Alpha and practically screamed at his face, "NO, I HATE THAT YOU ARE HERE WITH US."
Jungkook snorted and tilted his head, looking at him through a smirk. That ashamed the Omega as he lowered his head fast once more.
"That was what you should've told me in the first place. Why didn't you? It for hell didn't need that sudden outburst from a sheep like you." Jungkook crossed his arms over his chest and leaned back in his chair.
"Would it change anything?" Jin mumbled and wiped a tear that escaped his eye harshly with the back of his hand.
Jungkook saw the action, and it actually managed to make him feel pathetic. He cursed under his breath for he expected any kind of personality when they told him the marriage news. Yet, this Omega in front of him was never the person he could imagine. He wasn't ready for this innocence.
"I don't know."
Jin almost choked on the small bite he had in his mouth. That response was too strange to be real, especially from someone like the Alpha before him who appeared confident in every aspect of his being. The answer was unsure. The person seemed not to.
"Don't leave the mansion. If you need something, just tell one of the maids. No one here, ask it from me." Jungkook uttered weakly and then after that he heaved a deep sigh, getting up from his seat.
Jin watched how the Alpha left him in there alone without adding anything more to his previous words. He couldn't tell why or how, but the man's terrible state made him the same. Or at the very least, it brought him back to emptiness.
