"Have you had everything settled with Hoseok?"

Jungkook knew he'd be lying to himself if he didn't admit he felt envious. If not to say his only reason to linger around Taehyung's room, especially around his bed wasn't because of looking for any sign of him sleeping with the Omega.

"Yes, we shared all the needed requirements on the phone. I'm surprised what has Seokjin done that made him so desperate to have him sooner rather than later. He deafened my ear with how loud he screamed on the line when I informed I called for the job."

For a brief moment, Taehyung seemingly forgot who he was talking to. The time between that statement, Jin was his husband and they made up a normal family, living in nothing but utter peace with his son.

Although a life without Jungkook was what he refused a long while ago and would refuse one million times again, imagination could go wild limitless sometimes.

"Hmm. I believe so. Even the shy Omega has something up his sleeve and we didn't know." If everything, even the hands of the wall clock in the bedroom had not grown so quiet in that instant, maybe his hushed whisper never had the power to become so loud.

Taehyung wasn't stupid. He understood what was the intention behind everything Jungkook said and done. He could see through why the younger's heart trembled in its cage in terror.

He wished he could tell him everything was fine. That he was the one with the shaking fear. Jungkook had no right to let himself feel an ounce of that punishing worry.

"I hope he'll find his feet there. The Omega needs a long path and a blinding light to discover who he is." the Alpha thought carefully over every solitary word before letting them slide out of his mouth. He intentionally chose status but never imagined it could get a far, far away distance from his main purpose.

"You call him "The Omega" in front of others or just in the presence of me?" Jungkook asked sarcastically as his eyes picked up on a small fragile stone statue of a curled cat on the nightstand. Since he recognized all Taehyung's belongings, he figured it belonged to Jin.

To confirm his sensible assumption, he took and brought the object close to his nostrils inhaling a handful of the sweet scent that for a very known reason soothed his insides.

In the whole process of him doing that, the older stayed quiet. Taehyung didn't have any response to his question. The dishonesty or better say white lie was already so obvious that the Alpha would only embarrass himself more if he tried to fix.

"Lately, you haven't smelled like strangers when you came back home. You don't sleep with anyone. Seokjin had that effect on you." Jungkook mentioned as he found the silence between them uncommon. Yet with all his willpower, he couldn't go easy on the older.

"Do you expect me to keep up with my old habits now that I'm married? To make my life at stake when it comes on people's screen every time and everywhere in ways that leave my own jaw slacked? I don't want any furthur trouble including cheating on my husband. Thank you for the offer, though!" Taehyung practically hissed from the first letter till the end which made his throat sore.

He wanted to tend to his voice by coughing, but the younger's smirk indicating thousand meanings but a clear one stopped him from doing so instantly.

"Don't make that face, Jungkook. Don't kill me... please. You know that I love you. If I didn't, I'd never beg. I would never keep you. I left family for you. I forgot Su. I don't want to blame you for anything now. Just, don't..."

"I'm not the eleven-year-old kid of that time, Taehyung. You don't have to concern yourself. I will never ever make the same mistake." Jungkook cut off the other, but his voice was so peaceful as though it never broke anything from the beginning.
