Chapter 13

(Readers POV)

Port: Team RWBY wins!

We just won our first match in the Vytal Festival Tournament. We against a team called ABRN. They were from Haven Academy. They were good opponents, but we won in the end.

Oobleck: That was quite the match. To those who are just now tuning in. This is the Vytal Festival Tournament. The first round will be a four on four against teams. The winner of the first round will choose two of there team members to had on to the next round. The second round will be a two on two match. The final round will be a traditional tournament style, where it will be one on one matches until there is a winner.

Ruby: Come on team. I'm getting pretty hunger.

Weiss: Me too.

Yang: Me three.

(Y/N): I guess I could go for a snack.

Yang: (Y/N)!

(Y/N): What?

Yang: You were supposed to say, Me four.

(Y/N): I am not saying that.

Yang looked at me mad. I sighed and looked away.

(Y/N): Me four.

(Time skip)

We are in the Vytal Festival fairgrounds. I looked around, there was a bunch of different food stands.

Ruby: Man, there is so many choices.

We were just a walking around. I stepped on something. I looked down to see a wallet that was black and red. It had Ruby's symbol on it. I picked it up.

(Y/N): Hey Ruby. You dropped this.

Ruby looked at me and saw that I was holding her wallet.

Ruby: Thanks (Y/N).

She took the wallet and putted in her pocket. We continued our walk.

Yang: So, who is going to the next round?

Ruby: I was thinking about (Y/N) and Yang.

(Y/N) and Yang: What?!

(Y/N): Why us?

Ruby: You two seem to work well together. I saw how you guys fought together when those Grimm attacked Vale. It would be perfect.

I looked at Yang and she smiled at me.

(Y/N): You better not hold me back.

Yang: I could say the same to you.

We continued our walk. Ruby patted her pocket.

Ruby: Where is my wallet? I thought I put it in my pocket.

Emerald: Looking for this?

We turned around to see Emerald. She was holding Ruby's wallet.

Ruby: Thanks. I keep losing this thing.

She took her wallet and putted in her pocket again.

Emerald: I found it on the ground.

I was confused. I saw Ruby put her wallet in her pocket. The chance of it falling out are very low.

Emerald: You four did well in your match.

Ruby: Thank you. Where is the rest of your team?

Emerald: They are here, they are just introverted.

She looked behind her. Mercury was at a stand that was selling boots. He sniffed it and Emerald looked back at us.

Emerald: I'm curious. Who did you guys choose to go to the next round?

Ruby: We are having-

I put my hand on Ruby's mouth to stop her from talking.

(Y/N): That's for our team to know. You will have to figure that out like everyone else and wait for the second round.

Emerald: You're right. Sorry for asking.

(Y/N): Thank you for understanding...

I walked up to her and hugged her.

(Y/N): Pick pocketer.

I whispered in her ear. I let her go and she had a shocked look on her face. She quickly left with Mercury.

Ruby: That was kinda rude (Y/N). She was just being friendly.

(Y/N): I don't trust her or her friend.

Yang: Why?

(Y/N): Just a feeling in my gut.

We continued our walk. We found a noodle stand and we sat down in some of the seats. We ordered and we got huge bowls of noodles.

Weiss: Don't worry guys. I will pay for the food.

The shop keeper took her credit card. Her card got thrown back at her. The shopkeeper pointed at the cash register. It said that the card was declined.

Weiss: How could my card be declined? I was barely in my monthly allowance.

Pyrrha: You guys look like you could use some help.

We looked and team JNPR were walking up to us.

Pyrrha: I can pay for you guys.

Ruby: You don't have to do that.

Pyrrha: Think of it as a reward for winning your match.

She paid for our food. She also paid for food for the rest of her team. Yang looked at me and smirked.

Yang: I challenge you to an eat off!

(Y/N): An eat off?

Yang: Yeah. Who ever can finish their bowl first wins.

(Y/N): You're on!

Ruby got out her scroll and was about to start a timer. Me and Yang got ready to eat.

Ruby: And... Go!

I started to eat the bowl as fast as I can.

(Y/N): You might as well give up now.

I said with my mouth full.

Yang: Like I would lose to you.

We continued and the others were cheering for us.

Ruby: Come on Yang.

Jaune: Don't lose to a girl, (Y/N).

We picked up our bowls to eat the noodles faster. We both slammed our bowls on the counter and we sighed in relief. Ruby stopped the timer and looked shocked.

Ruby: A tie?!

Nora: How do you two feel?

Me and Yang rested our upper body on the counter.

(Y/N) and Yang: Full.

I heard an intercom turn on.

Port: Will team JNPR please come to the colosseum for their match.

Ruby: Good luck guys.

Jaune: Thanks. We'll try our best.

I looked up and waved them bye. Ruby and Weiss started to eat there order of noodles.

Yang: Guess I have to try harder next time.

(Y/N): I am not doing this again.

Yang: You're right. I feel like I can't move without throwing up.
