"Woah noona, you shot straight through the target! You're really meticulous as everyone says. You're an inspiration to me!!" Soobin exclaimed with wide bunny eyes at me. The boy was a new trainee who joined three months ago so I was assigned to mentor him. "Soobin, if you stay calm and focused and do things with precision then you will get the aim like me someday. Keep practicing as you diligently do, okay? You're dismissed now." Saying so I left the soundproof practice room as the trainee session was over.
I went to the locker room to get my things before leaving the building when two men entered the room behind me, one of them irked at me as always.
"June, seems like someone is trying to impress the trainees? Trying to be a legend, is not it Lisa?" the ever so annoying Bobby said. He has been trying to hit on me ever since we've joined the MIO agency and I don't bet an eye on him. He's usually jealous of my promotions and successful missions I've worked on, something which is a rare sight for him to experience.
"Oh, at least that someone actually has a job when they're not on duty. Not casually sitting and throwing remarks on every person around." I could see him shocked and extremely pissed at my comments.
He then kept blubbering something to June and I as usual ignored him. I grabbed a bottle to drink water and while doing so I accidentally dropped something. I crouched down to pick it up, when he suddenly groped my ass and spanked it. Enraged, I quickly used my self defence skills and pushed him down to the floor, and twisting his arm behind him while as I sat over his back, Bobby groaned in pain.
"Ah! Lisa....please leave me!!!" "The only thing I want by working aside with perverted scumbags like you is some respect. Do I need to make use of force to earn that?" "No....Lisa I swear I won't do it again. Ahhhhhh! It hurtsss! Sorry Lisa!!" He kept groaning. Feeling much satisfied I left straddling him before the pressure sensations could've paralyzed him.
"Good to know." I nodded before I kicked him in his groin before I turned to leave with my things. I could hear June snickering in the background.
"Dude you fucked up so bad. But the fierce Miss Seductress is definitely a sight to see." June exclaimed. "Shut up bruh. It hurts so bad. I'm so ashamed!"
Time Skip
I had just entered my apartment when I received a call from one of my two and only best friends, Kim Jisoo. I changed into some comfy clothing and settled down to talk to her.
As you might have guessed, my profession doesn't allow me to have a lot of social relations so my seniors/unnies: Kim Jisoo and Jo Miyeon; are the only people I can regard as best friends as we have been working in MIO together.
"Unnie! I just returned back after mentoring the trainees. You're back?! So how's it going?"
Jin oppa and I returned just yesterday to the States. We are on our way to MIO headquarters to attend another meeting. We're supposed to present reports of the previous mission to the chief and request an additional investigation from him."
Oh, I forgot to mention. Jisoo unnie and Jin oppa were back after exposing one of the most brutal sex trafficking network spread across continents. They were paired together in many missions before which was how they found love and later married while still going on missions.
"And I heard from some trainees that you and Bobby apparently fought? May I know why?"
"Nothing much unnie, just that I finally succeeded in teaching him a lesson." "Wait a second girl, what did you do? Kicked him in the ass?"
"Nah, in the groin. Pretty sure he won't be able to use his baby maker for a long time from now. That's what a pervert gets for messing with Lili."
"Lisa, that must've hurt him a lot. Don't you think groin is too sensitive?"

Jisoo unnie started. "I asked Miyeon to do a background check on Sehun, the guy who spoke to you earlier over phone. Miyeon's search suggested that he served the American secret organizations for around 15 years and also trained in the South Korean military for a while. He later founded 'The Phoenix', an agency of his own where he appoints spies from other agencies to go on private missions. Somewhat like a secret service does."
"Hmm..." was all I said as unnie continued. "Lili, he wants a talented sparrow like you to work for him in a top secret project. This personally feels wrong to me. Normally every private organization should register a consent form to the MIO before hiring MIO certified spies but they haven't issued any permission yet." "Unnie maybe he wants me to agree to the mission first? It's surprising and absurd for me too, but this is all I managed to think." "What's more weird is the fact that he desperately wants you in this mission and is willing to give a huge paycheck. Considering the idea that the Phoenix is just a new agency, they won't have a ton of funds. I don't want you to hurt yourself like you did in the last mission with Yoon-"
Not him now please.
"Unnie let's not talk about him please? Because of him I got suspended from working in missions for three months. This is my last chance to prove myself unnie. I can't let my career down after a mistake I did in the past mission. I decided I'll go meet him this evening for the discussion of the operation and then I'll decide that I should go ahead or not." "I'm not forcing you Lili, I'm just worried. The name sounds surprisingly familiar to me which is why I feel a bit fishy about the Phoenix. I personally don't approve you to take part in it, but since it's your wish I'd have to relent. Give a good time to think before accepting the operation and promise me you'll take of yourself. Arasso?" "Yes unnie. I promise you. Love you. Anneyong!" "Good luck, and Anneyong."
Jisoo unnie was right. We're a victim of our choices. I was scared of messing up this mission just like I did the last one. What exactly happened and who was unnie mentioning? It happens to be Jeong Jaehyun, or Yoon-oh. Yoon-oh and I were partners in a government mission. We were infatuated with each other and so we dated for a while. Ravens are trained to be irresistible, wear charming masks. Seduction and acquiring secret information or wealth was what our job called for. Since we both seduced for a living, it often put us in situations of conflict. We often fought with each other, argued due to jealousy and trust issues. Things worsened and we were doomed when Yoon-oh almost ruined the whole mission at it's very final stage. He did a love confession, all of which got recorded in the CCTVs which put our lives at risk. Somehow we were able to save ourselves but we incredibly failed the mission. Yoon-oh was expelled from the MIO permanently due to unprofessionalism and I was suspended from going on any future operations for 3 months as a penalty.
Sigh.
After this incident, I made a mental note, a sacred law: to always work alone, definitely not with a raven, and to never get caught up with feelings. Letting out yet another sigh I collected myself. "Let's know what is my job this time", I wondered. _________________________________________
