"See this?", Sehun showed me an explosive, "I want you to pull this string when we signal you to"
"It won't go off when I'm in there?", I asked.
"You'll be fine"
"You think you're ready?", one of the other EXO members, Suho, asked as he walked up to my side. He was supposed to go in with me.
I just shrugged, not knowing how to answer his question.
It was my first mission today. Sehun called me when I was at school after they located NCT Dream at a warehouse in downtown Seoul...they didn't want to miss a chance.
On the way here, Sehun and I agreed that I would help try to get rid of everyone in NCT Dream except for Jeno. I just couldn't find the guts to do it, so Suho was in charge of that instead.
Sure, I didn't have to take care of Jeno, but there was still another six members to kill. I was definitely nervous.
"Ready to head inside?", Suho asked me, "We can't just stand out here"
I nodded. I was totally not ready, but I pretended I was. I still didn't understand why I was being sent in, but I tried as hard as I could to roll with it.
"The rest of us will be out here to keep an eye on what's going on inside", Sehun said, "And if any of the other NCT Dream members make it outside, we'll take care of them for you two"
"A-Alright", I murmured.
Suho and I walked over to the door and typed in a combination.
It opened.
'Here goes nothing', I thought.
All the lights in the building were off when we walked inside, and everything got even darker when the door shut behind us. It was broad daylight outside, but pitch black on the inside...and Suho I had to look for seven people in the middle of it all.
I put our flashlights on low and started looking around. I held the bomb Sehun gave me carefully in my hands.
"Where do you think they are?", I whispered over to Suho.
He just shrugged and kept looking around.
It didn't look like there was anything on the first floor, so we slowly made our way up a flight of stairs.
When I got to the top, I shone my light down the hallway...but immediately turned it off.
There was a light turned on in a room at the end of the hall.
"What?", Suho looked at me.
I slowly pointed to the light.
"That's probably them", he said quietly, "I'll stay back here and guard the door...you go and check it out"
I didn't think my heart could beat any faster, but, surprise surprise, it did. I slowly slipped my flashlight into my pocket, and held the bomb as carefully as I could in my sweaty hands.
I walked next to the door and peaked inside.
It was them. It was NCT Dream. Everyone in that room matched to the description Sehun gave me earlier.
I looked back at Suho.
He motioned to me to let off the bomb.
Sehun told me that this bomb would either do a lot of damage, or NCT Dream would make it out alive and stop doing...whatever they were doing.
Wait. I agreed to kill people, and I didn't know why EXO even wanted to kill them in the first place.
I shook my head and forced myself to focus.
I stared at the bomb.
I drew my hand close to the fragile thing.
I pulled the string...
In a split second, I forced myself not to pay attention to what I just did, and focused on getting out alive.
I started running for the door...
Suho wasn't there.
The door closed.
I tried to push it open.
Locked. It was locked.
I started to panic.
One of the members heard me and ran out of the room.
"Hey! What are yo-", they started shouting. We touched eyesight and then our eyes dropped the ground.
Both of us stared at the bomb.
"Wait", I pleaded, "Please...this isn't-"
"Where did that come from?", the boy walked towards me, avoiding the bomb.
"A bomb", I replied, "Please...it could go off"
I ran to a window and looked outside to see if I could get EXO's attention.
They were backing out of the parking lot. EXO were leaving me here.
My head started spinning.
I was alone and about to die.
