"Hey"
I woke up and saw Jeno sitting at the end of my old bed.
"Oh", I smiled and sat up slowly, "Morning..."
I yawned and ran my hands through my messy bed hair. I looked around me; Ryujin and Lia were still sleeping.
"Do you want something?", I asked Jeno, even though I was still half asleep.
"Well", he took a short breath in, "I know you're tired but...I was supposed to make breakfast this morning, and I honestly don't know how"
I wanted to laugh but I had to hold it in, which resulted in me almost choking.
"Yeah, I'll help", I whispered as I stood up.
Jeno and I tip-toed down the stairs and into the kitchen.
I tiredly leaned on the counter as I watched him get a pan out of the cabinet and some random ingredients out of the cabinets.
"We talked to EXO last night...", he blurted out without worrying about whispering.
My head shot up and I immediately didn't feel tired anymore.
"About what?", I asked casually.
"Stuff.", Jeno stopped and looked at me with a smirk on his face.
"Hey, now", I said to him, "You can't just bring a topic up like that and not tell me what's going on"
He turned around and leaned on the counter, crossing his arms and keeping his eyes fixed on me.
"They called us last night, when you and the girls were asleep", he started, "Just Jaemin, Renjun and I..."
"And?", I raised my eyebrow.
"They wanted to tell us thank you"
" 'Thank you'?!", I almost screamed, " 'Thank you' for WHAT?!"
I chuckled to himself and turned back around to start stirring the pancake mix.
"Sehun said that we've done a good job keeping you safe and out of trouble", he said, "So there wasn't any reason for them to hate us anymore"
"So you guys are on good terms now?", I asked.
I saw him stop stirring.
"Huh", he grunted, "I guess we are, huh?"
As hard as it was to believe, all those months of hard times and chaos finally came to an end.
"What are you doin' up so early, princess?", Jaemin walked into the kitchen looking half-dead in his loose T-shirt and shorts.
"Jeno wanted help with breakfast", I looked at Jeno, "But I haven't been doing much in the way of helping"
He lazily walked over to the coffee machine and poured himself a cup of coffee.
"We talked with EXO last night", he started.
"I heard", I smiled as I watched him, "So we don't have to worry about fighting with EXO anymore?", I asked.
Jaemin stopped and looked at me. "I mean, technically, yeah", he said.
I nodded and pretended to watch Jeno "cook" breakfast.
"You know, Jiwoo", Jaemin walked next to me and looked at me in the eyes, "All these things wouldn't have happened if you didn't come along"
I raised my eyebrow. "What does that mean?"
He shrugged. "All of us can start living normal lives again because of you"
"I didn't do anything special", I said, "I was just trying to find myself again"
"Yeah, but you helped us find ourselves, too"
We stopped talking and just locked eyes.
"You're something special, Jiwoo", he smiled, "I like you"
Before I could say anything, he walked out of the kitchen.
I just stared at Jeno with my mouth gaped open.
"Did he just-?", I pointed my finger at Jaemin.
"Yeah.", Jeno smacked his lips, "Yeah, he did"
I slowly lowered my finger, but my mouth still hung wide open.
The morning sunshine started to peak through the curtains and slowly lit up the kitchen.
Everything felt normal again.
I was finally with the right crowd.
Guys. That was it. That was the book. Chapter 40. ITS OVER ;(
I honestly loved writing this book – I was more comfortable this time, since it was the second book I've finished. It'd mean the world to me if you stayed on my NCT train and read my old books, or stay tuned for the books that I'll be starting (Taeyong arranged relationship AU coming out in 4-5 days!)
