"Who the-?", the woman lost all expression in her face and stared at the door.
"Was that supposed to happen?", I asked her.
I turned my head around...
NCT Dream.
What were they doing here?
"Oh...", I lowered my head and looked back in the other direction.
"What are you doing to her?", Jaemin took a bold step into the room. He didn't care about every person pointing there gun at him.
"Asking some questions", the woman acted calm and plastered a smile onto her face.
"Leave her alone, Yang", Jaemin stared at her, "She didn't do anything to you"
Jaemin knew her?
"Yes, well", Yang looked at her nails, pretending she was bored with Jaemin.
"This isn't funny", I heard Jeno's voice come into the conversation, even though I still forced myself not to look at them.
"I never said it was", Yang changed her face to a serious one, "But the girl has the answers I've been looking for; and I'm not turning down until she answers me"
I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. I felt a couple tears build up because of all the random stress that came out of nowhere.
"Let the girl make the decision for herself", Yang said.
Everyone looked at me.
"Do you want to tell us what you saw and get on with your life?", she asked slowly, "Or do you want to hide things from us and not live"
I slowly lifted my head. "I told you, already", I started, "That I wasn't giving you any answers"
"That was a few moments ago", she said, "I'll give you another minute to change your mind"
"I don't need a minute", I felt a hot tear drop onto my lap, "I'm not giving you answers..."
"Ok, you heard the girl", Yang looked at me with a little anger in her eyes, "Get rid of her; she's worth nothing"
"STOP", Jaemin raised his voice, which caught everyone in the room off guard, "Would you damn stop already?!"
I never heard Jaemin raise his voice like that. He handled most situations calmly, no matter how mad his was; and if he did raise his voice, it definitely didn't sound like that.
I held in my sniffles and looked at Jaemin.
He walked up to Yang and knocked her gun out of her hand without thinking twice.
"Yang, all you care about...", he spoke with a shaky voice, "...All you care about is you. You don't care about anyone in this room – only what they can do for you"
"So?", she chuckled as she locked eyes with Jaemin, "I walk through life the way I walk through life"
"You'll pay for it", he continued, "You did the same thing to me, and here I am"
The fake smile on Yang's face slowly melted off.
"If you keep acting like this", Jaemin went on without caring about what his words meant to Yang, "People are just gonna keep being like me, and we'll all come back to do things like this"
Yang stopped.
She closed her eyes and took a deep breath.
After a few moments, she snapped her finger twice, which made everyone in the room lower their guns.
She sighed. "You were always a mouthy kid", she said, "What do you want?"
"A deal.", Jaemin replied, "NCT Dream will try our best to answer your questions if you can just let Jiwoo live"
"Those are lies, boy", she looked at Jaemin, "I know you're not actually going to do something like that"
"If I pull anything", he sighed, "All you have to do is report me to NCT 127 and they'll take care of it from there"
Yang stood there and thought of what decision to make.
"All we're asking is to let Jiwoo go", Jaemin reminded her.
She rolled her eyes. "Well, since you're not going to take 'no' as an answer", she said, "I might as well say yes"
Jaemin's eyes grew wide. "Seriously?", he raised his eyebrow, "You're not pulling my leg"
Yang shook her head.
She looked at me and pointed at Jaemin. "Go", she told me, "Before I change my mind"
I thanked her quietly and went to stand by Jaemin's side.
"As much as I'm glad I don't have to see you anymore", Yang said, "You're a clever boy, Jaemin. You underestimate yourself"
By the time we all got out of the room, Jaemin and I stopped and stared at each other for a good ten seconds.
Out of nowhere, he just wrapped his arms around me and started laughing.
It scared me at first, but I found myself returning his hug with a big smile on my face.
"How'd you know her?", I asked, "How'd you know 'Yang'?"
"She was my guardian before Kai took me", he answered.
I nodded into this shoulder.
I looked up at him. "Thanks", I said randomly, "I would've been dead if it wasn't for you"
"Yeah, well", he pulled himself away, "I wouldn't have been making the right decisions if it wasn't for you"
