"Did I do that right?", Chanyeol perked his head to one side as he looked at the couch he helped me assemble for my new studio apartment.

"Looks alright to me", I tilted my head like he was doing.

"That wasn't so bad", he stood up and took a sip of water.

     I nodded.

      My phone started ringing.

To be honest, I'd been declining most of my calls for the past few days. They were all from people I knew and didn't want to know.

I sighed and looked at the caller ID.

     "Jeno" is calling you.

Chanyeol watched me as I just stared at my phone screen.

I looked at him, "Should I answer it?", I asked, "Just to clarify everything and move on?"

He shrugged, "Its up to you"

I looked back at my phone.

"Whatever", I answered the call and put the phone up to my ear.

"Hello?", I said as I walked out to my balcony and shut the sliding door behind me.

"Oh my gosh, Jiwoo, we were so worried", I heard Jeno's voice on the other line.

I pursed my lips and looked at the road a few stories below me. "Sorry", I said quietly.

"Where are you?", he went on, "Are you ok?"

     "I'm fine", I said plainly.

Neither of us said anything for a few seconds; I couldn't decide if it was awkward or not.

"Uh, Jeno...", I started, "I know that you guys don't know where I am right now...but I'd actually like to keep it that way"

"Sorry?", I could hear confusion in his voice.

I closed my eyes and took a deep breath, gripping the railing on my balcony.

"Everything has just been a little too much for me", I explained, "And I just want to live my life again...I don't think I could pull that off if you and your friends knew where I was"

I heard him sigh, "Jiwoo, you're just running away from your troubles", he said, "We could give you the answers you wanted if you just let us help you"

"I tried to find those answers when I was with you all", I irritably ran my hands through my hair, "And you guys either ignored me or got mad at me for bringing it up"

     "Yeah, but-"

"Jeno", I interrupted him, "I really don't wanna argue. If I want a solution, I'll find it myself"

He didn't say anything.

"Please don't try to find out where I am, either", I continued, "And only call me if its an emergency"

It took him a few seconds to reply, but he did. "I really don't agree with you", he told me straight, "But its your life, I guess"

Even though I felt broken on the inside, I couldn't help but smile to myself; I was really lucky to have someone as understanding as Jeno.

      "Thanks, bud", I said.

      "Yup"

"So...", I smacked my lips, "I guess this is 'goodbye', huh?"

     It really was, wasn't it?

Jeno paused for a second. "I-", he started, "I guess it is"

I let out a short breath.

"Hey", he made his voice sound a little more positive, "It was fun while it lasted"

"Mhm", a tear dropped from my eye and onto my knuckle, "It was."

We were quiet for a few more seconds; neither of us really wanted to say bye to each other.

"Alright", he broke the silence, "I'll let you get back to your thing...I'll always be here if you need anything"

I just nodded, even though I knew he couldn't see me. There were too many tears in my eyes, and I didn't want him to hear me crying.

"Bye, Jeno", I managed to say.

     "Bye", he said in return.

      Your call ended.

      6 minutes, 17 seconds.

     Your friendship ended.

     6 minutes, 17 seconds.

Omg, I was writing this depressing chapter and NCT Dream's Dunk Shot started playing on my shuffle playlist. Mega "Simon Says ourin real VIBE KILLER" energy, am I right?
