The next morning, I had to have breakfast with everyone, acting like nothing happened between Jaemin and I.
My hands hugged my coffee mug as I just stared into my coffee; I honestly didn't want to look at anyone in the face that day. I felt upset with myself because, yes, I did look for Jaemin's profile and I did raid his privacy; but I realized that if I never made that dumb decision, Jaemin would have never even brought up his path.
Everything about this situation made me mad.
And the annoying thing is I wasn't able to focus on it right now; Donghyuck was here now, telling us that NCT 127 basically didn't want the Dreamies to go to EXO's party.
Everyone at the table was quiet as we all just waited for Jaemin. He was the one who'd be making the decision: do we go to the party or not?
"So", Jaemin sat down, "Before I say anything...is there any of you who have something you wanna say about this?"
"I do.", Ryujin lazily ran her hands through her hair.
We all turned our eyes on her to hear what she had to say.
"Jiwoo offered to go for us", she looked at me, "Didn't she?"
No one said anything.
"Why can't Jiwoo just go instead?", she continued.
She and I locked eyes, and I noticed a small smirk grow on her face.
I opened my mouth but got interrupted.
"She did volunteer on going alone", Jaemin said without looking at me, "But she's not going"
"Why not?", I blurted out. I was starting to get even more angry with him.
"Because", he said with a little aggravation in his voice, "You're just not."
I slowly sank back into my chair, "I've done absolutely nothing since I got here"
"And?", Jaemin raised his eyebrow.
"I was supposed to be here temporarily", I glared, "I have a life, and at this point, I think I was better off with EXO"
Jaemin finally looked at me, although I kind of wished he didn't. He looked mad.
"Ahem", Jeno awkwardly tried to keep anything else from happening.
"What now?", I shot a look at Jeno.
"You don't have to go to the party", he said, "And neither does NCT Dream"
"Well, one of us has to", Ryujin said with a bored expression on her face, "So lets just get that over with"
"NCT 127 is going", Jeno stated, "So they can figure the EXO thing out themselves without our help"
"Yeah, but they're just going", I tried to sound calm, even though I was ready to cancel almost everyone in the room, "They have no real problems with EXO so they're not planning to pull off an ambush or anything"
"Exactly", Ryujin said, "That's why we need to go"
"But NCT 127 asked you not to", Donghyuck reminded us.
"They asked us", Yeji, who had been sitting in her chair with her arms crossed the whole time, finally spoke up, "I'm sorry, but EXO's a problem and we need to fix that. NCT 127 may be calling the shots, but EXO isn't something that we can just let pass by"
"Well, I'm just neutral here", Donghyuck said, "I'm asking you not to go, but if you guys feel the need to, then I'll leave that up to you"
"I say we go", Jaemin said, "We don't have to do anything major. Just something to keep EXO out of our hair"
"But, what if-", Jeno started.
"Kai won't leave me alone if I don't do anything", Jaemin said, "And EXO's looking for...Jiwoo over there, anyway". Just saying my name was a sacrifice for him that day.
"So, we're doing this?", I asked quietly.
Jaemin looked around at everyone to see if any of us opposed to going.
No one said anything.
"I guess we're going, then"
