I had to think about how i was going to continue to write this, and I have finally settled on how I should do it, so that's why I took a minute and stepped back for a while to do what an author hates to do and read my own work.

"Are you nervous?"
"Aren't you excited?"
"No, I'm nervous."
Bassui chuckled with a large grin plastered on his face which was unusual for him. His positive outlook did nothing for me, however.
It had been the summer, and the training camp had gone and passed with the first years introduced into the team. Standing with me was Bassui Watanabe: a wing spiker with an incessant book worm personality. He always resembled a little boy to me because of the freckles that accented his brown eyes matching his brown hair. He was plain, but adorable and kind.
We had a group of four join us which was larger than we expected. The other three did not match Bassui by any means:
Akira Nakamura became our new Kai, but he walked in and immediately challenged the third years. His silver hair, he yelled to everyone, was silkier than Lev's. His eyes a soulless black. I knew I'd have the time of my life trying to train him.
Chimon Ito was more temperamental, but annoying. He had brown hair, but wide and hopeful blue eyes. He never stopped talking especially to Kenma, to Kozume's upmost annoyance. He was our new setter and a simp if I had ever seen one for volleyball and its members.
Kaiya Takagi came because our principal begged him to. He was amazingly good at jumping. We had earned our own little giant. He was hopeful and excited and eager to learn, but he closed himself off from criticism. He had plain dirty blonde hair and hazel eyes, but the blue stripe he dyed into the middle of his head struck him different from the rest on purpose according to him.
My notebook was already chock full of notes if you couldn't already tell. I got on first names bases with Bassui because of how easily we clicked, so he came with me to the airport.
Today was the day my boyfriend came back. Long sexy video calls and needy phone calls had made me embarrassed to face him, but it was time.
I twisted my promise ring nervously making Bassui chuckle again, "Calm down, he isn't going to eat you."
"You don't know him very well then." I muttered loud enough for him to hear as people from his plane flooded out into the airport's large hall.
Soon, I spotted him. Taller and more muscular than I remembered, but the bed head was unmistakable and his promise ring gleamed on his finger. He wore a mask, but the look in his eye when he spotted me told me all I needed to know.
I missed you.
I was in his arms in seconds. He felt new to me, but his scent was home. He wasted no time pulling his mask off and kissing me hard with every emotion we'd experienced together over the phone. Joy. Sadness. Longing. Tension. Arousal.
"Tetsurou," I said quietly catching my breath.
"Y/n, I'm home." His voice in my ear in person made everything feel right. He was my home.
