Our Once Upon A Time

Chapter 10

HARRY POV

We were exploring the forest for a while, Gil and Jay had had an entire conversation over places they want to visit while eating berries off a damn bush after I confirmed that they were not poisonous of course. This is one of those moments where I wish Holly was here, we'd make fun of them in unison not just me alone. Then again, when I tried one it wasn't too bad I won't lie.

Finally, we were walking after Carlos's talking dog, which by the way, is weird as hell, when we came across an area and the dog stopped. I wasn't paying attention to the dogs talking when we all heard a loud beastly roar. My head shot up to see a beast wearing what looked like Auradon clothes. It launched itself at me and while Jay tried to pull me out of the way fast enough the creature still managed to deeply cut my upper arm. I clenched my teeth together slightly to move out of the way the second time it happened, this time far more successful,

"Ye need some serious mood adjustments!"

I said through clenched teeth,

"I'm not so sure"

Carlos commented. I was about done with these peaceful people at this time. They never wanted to just take out the issue no no no they just HAD to fix it using some sort of "friendship magic" or some other bullshit like that. The beast ran up a hill and looked down at us,

"Ben?"

Carlos said,

"Oh, I thought I recognized those pants"

Jay said, 

"Aw, he has a boo-boo! That's why he's so cranky, you know my dad said that his dad did not handle pain well at all"

I rolled my eyes and took a spare handkerchief from my pocket and looked over at Gil,

"Aye, would ya care ta do somethin actually useful? How about stopping me from bleeding out eh?"

I said with venom in my tone, not just from Gil being an airhead again but from keeping the pain in, ya know I'm not one to show that sorta thing. Gil rushed over and tied the handkerchief over the wound to stop the bleeding,

"You're good with animals, do something!"

Jay said glancing at Carlos. He reluctantly walked up the hill, the whole time reassuring the beast that he knew him and all that. Eventually, he got to the beast and was able to pull a pretty big splinter from its paw. Once it was out a blast of water came from behind me and hit the beast. I turned around to see a girl with what looked like a water gun spraying the beast. When I looked back to the beast it was no longer a beast. 

Now King Ben stood being sprayed in the face. She stopped and looked at Carlos. He ran down the hill and went up to the girl. They both frantically talked over each other until they both yelled in unison,

"I'm so glad you're alright!"

I rolled my eyes as they hugged each other. A hint of jealousy entered my thoughts.

They look so happy together.

I walked in a few circles just holding my arm trying to make it look like it didn't bother me. The girl looked to Ben as he stumbled down the hill with the support of Jay,

"You need another blast"

She said. She proceeded to shoot Ben in the face with more water trying to get rid of the fangs and extra facial hair that still remained,

"Please... stop"

Ben said through the spray,

"Huh, it's enchanted lake water. I guess it can only do so much"
