"Sleeve... head... ah!"

The designer cursed mildly I kept my laughter under control seeing as Ben just wouldn't stop moving and let the man do his job,

"How is it possible that you're going to be crowned king next month? You're just a baby! And my little girl is going to be crowned queen! I just can't believe it!"

Dad said as he and mom finally walked in, overly gushing as always,

"They're turning 16, dear"

Mom said in an attempt to remind our own father of how old Ben and I are, tragic I know,

"Hey pops"

Ben said to dad,

"Hey mum"

I said, Ben has always been closer to dad while I've always been closer with mom,

"16? That's far to young to be crowned King or Queen. I didn't make a good decision until I was at least 42"

"Uh, you decided to marry me at 28"

My mom said as she looked up at dad in an offended tone. I snorted and hid my laughter by hiding my face in my book,

"Ah, it was either you or the teapot"

Ben and I both started laughing,

"Kidding, kidding"

Dad said to mom, obviously seeing that our mother appeared to be highly offended,

"Mom, Dad, Bri..."

He started, I tipped my reading glassed down and looked at him intently as he started moving, all to the poor designers' demise,

"Ah!"

He cursed under his breath and sat in defeat seeing as Ben made him mess up again, cursing under his breath once again,

"I've chosen my first official proclamation. I've decided that the children on the Isle of the Lost be given a chance to live here in Auradon..."

I slowly looked all the way up, taking my reading glasses off. Mom and dad looked like they had just seen a ghost, I kept in my chuckle as mom dropped the jacket she was holding,

"... Every time I look out to the island, I feel like they've been abandoned"

He said as he walked away from the designer again, looking wildly defeated as he did so,

"The children of our sworn enemies living among us?"

Dad skeptically said,

"We start out with a few at first, only the ones who need our help the most. I've already chosen them"

"Without me?"

I said with a raised brow, Ben turned to me,

"Hear me out, I have a feeling you'll approve"

I narrowed my eyes ay him before nodding,

"Carry on then, who are the parents?"

I said as I shut my book,

"Cruella De Vil, Jafar, Captain Hook, Evil Queen... and Maleficent"

My eyes widened and some slight panic entered my system. I mean how could it not? That sounded like the worst combination that could ever be created, literally,

"Maleficent?! She's the worst villain in the land!"

Dad shouted, immediately mom grabbed his arm to calm him down, I've always thought it's cute how she can calm him down so easily,

"Dad just hear me out here!"

"I won't hear of it. They are guilty of unspeakable crimes!"

Ben looked over at me, obviously in need of my knack for persuasion. I stood up from my chair, putting my book aside and folding my glasses up,

"To be fair dad, we aren't planning on bringing the villains themselves over. It's their children we're discussing. They haven't done what their parents have and frankly, they're completely innocent, don't all innocent children or person, in general, deserve a chance at a normal life?"

Ben nodded at me and looked back to dad,

"Dad?"

He said quieter,

"I suppose their children are innocent"

Our dad said accepting defeat, its rare that Ben and I fully agree on something but here we are, trying to convince our parents to let villain kids come to Auradon of all things,

"Well, well done..."

Our mother said to Ben and I as dad walked away,

"... Shall we?"

Mom said to dad now, walking away with him. Ben and I smiled at each other, nodding once and going back to what we were doing. I sat back down in the chair next to the window. I picked up my book again and put my glasses on once again, looking out onto the Isle of the Lost.

A/N

Hiya! I thought I'd give a little sneak peek of the next book I'll be publishing. Its different compared to the stories I've written in the past because its the first one where I let it take place in the first "Descendants", and yes I've forced Harry to become part of the first batch of VKs that were brought to Auradon. I think its coming along nicely, so I'll go ahead and start publishing that one soon so be on the lookout! Remember to stay hydrated my friends!
