STOKELEY

when juniper and billie started talking to one another, he grabbed the two boys from their seats and dragged them out the room. the whole way brandon was complaining about how he needed to pee, so stokeley sent him to find the bathroom.

"i'm gonna get some breakfast, you want?", he held his hand out to jah in a question before leaving when he nodded. breakfast was always better at night, always.

browsing the options he saw a jack in the box sandwiches and he gagged to himself. he found a whole hairnet in his food once, that's just plain disrespectful.

"know damn well y'all ain't got that junk in a box shit here.", he muttered as he picked up 3 sandwiches. freezing before he walked away, he picked up 3 extra ones before giving a $20 to the cashier who raised his eyebrow at him.

"that's one hell of an appetite.", stokeley glared and walked away.

"don't say shit about it.", he saw brandon sitting back down and by the hungry look in his eyes he debated on going back to the stand and getting more.

"take 2 don't be greedy, fatso.", brandon gasped and took three, sliding across the bench to the other side of the table. jah held up his one sandwich with a blank face to his friend.

"give me my sandwich back, hoe.", a kick was heard from under the table.

"man, give his shit back before i slap you in the head. cosmo and wanda headass.", brandon skidded the food across the table with a deep pout, not liking how he was forced to give up his dinner.

"damn bitches.", stokeley mumbled as he unwrapped the paper.

it was silent and the only thing they could hear was the murmuring of other patients or waiting families could be heard. it wasn't everyday your friend was found halfway on her train to death.

"what if we can't trust her?", brandon chewed slower when jah muttered those words, he was staring off to the hall they came from.

"she's the only one keeping billie motivated to do better. she's changed, jah. she isn't as easy to work with anymore. she could still sure as hell knock our asses out if we forced her to something she hates. she'd never lay a hand on that girl though. i know it.", stokeley looked to brandon who was sat fiddling with his cube, something he did when he had something to say.

"she's the only thing keeping billie alive. i heard them talking when i was coming back from the bathroom. i didn't mean to eavesdrop but my legs stopped moving and my ears decided to work.", he was spitting crumbs everywhere and the other two boys were watching as each minuscule piece fell onto the otherwise clean table.

"okay sprinkle town. thanks for the info.", jah swiped a hand across the table to clear it.

"sorry.", he whispered but food flew out anyway, landing on the back of jah's frozen hand.

"should beat yo ass with this hand.", he glared and went back to eating.

meanwhile stokeley sat silent and stared at his paper. was it really the best choice to bring juniper to billie, bringing her pain back in front of her face.

sometimes the worst choices could have the best outcome, make or break it type shit. as he was thinking to himself, a piece of bread hit the side of his head. he worked his jaw as he kept his eyes on one jah's face who held one of surprise and fear.

"it was him. i swear, that uncoordinated bitch ass threw it at you.", stokeley didn't even bother with turning, he continued to eat his sandwich while they let out breaths of relief
