"What am I saying" Kate groaned and buried her face into her palm
May chuckled and placed her menu flat onto the table, using her hands pull apart Kate's so the girl could meet her eyes
"What's your name?" May asked
"Kate. Kate Wilson" The brunette said
"Hi Kate. I'm May" The director smiled
"Hi may" Kate chuckled realizing the woman wanted to redo their introduction
"You seen stressed, everything okay Kate?" The woman asked
"Well for starters, I almost ran over a celebrity with my car a few minutes ago" Kate mumbled
"Wha- are you okay!?" May's eyes widened
"I'm okay, nothing major happened besides the fact that they were being bitchy about it. I didn't even touch their car" Kate mumbled
"Well atleast you're okay and not injured" May smiled
"That is true. Is there anything you want to order?" Kate asked
"Ah yes. It's been a while since I've had a burger, do you think you guys could whip one up for me?" May grinned
"Of course, is there anything else?"
"Mmhmm vanilla milkshake would sound so good right now" May chuckled
"Coming right up" Jamie said
The two girls furrowed their brows and glanced in the direction of Jamie standing in front of their table, Kate gave her a questioning look
Jamie playfully glared at the girl before ripping a page from her notepad and handing it to Kate

Kate smiled at the note before she crumbled the paper and shoved it into her back pocket
"So where are you from Kate?" May asked
"Right here actually, my parents grew up around these parts of Hollywood so we stayed" Kate smiled
"That's really cool, do you do anything besides being a waitress?" She asked
"I'm.. I'm actually an actress" Kate grinned
"Oh wow. Really?"
"Yep, it all started when I wanted to play Peter Pan in the school's musical. Now I'm 19 years old and ready to go into the world of acting" She chuckled
"And how's that going for you?" May smiled
"Great. Honestly. Great" Kate gritted through her teeth and gave the fakest smile she could give
"Oh come on Kate, we just met. You don't have to lie to me" May chuckled
"I... Yeah it's been terrible" Kate laughed
"It's tough in the real world. Hollywood's full of talented singers, artists, actors. They're all ready for that leap, that opportunity to make it big. Its never easy, I can tell you that. But when you make those dreams a reality, everything you've ever hoped for is worth it. Those sleepless nights you'd spend memorizing scripts, the hours you spend filing, the loss of energy in your body. But it's always worth it in the end when everything we've wished for, happens" May smiled sweetly
