I'm in love with a magnificent girl.
I'm in love with her eyes,
always dilated with a lust for life
she's on the moon, but gazing at starlit skies.I'm in love with her gait
her head's held up high
she doesn't give two fucks
about anyone else.I'm in love with her thoughts.
she's wise beyond her years
and she knows what she wants.I'm in love with her body
with thigh gaps and slender waist line
and stretch marks and scars that she carries.I'm in love with her words and her phrases,
they resemble mine,
just worded a lot more eloquently.I'm in love with her love for herself.
I'm jealous of her love for herself.
she's just like me and yet not.
she's my perfect oxymoron.you see, this magnificent girl
that I'm in love with?
she's a version of myself
that doesn't exist, not yet.
but I know she will one day."I can't wait to meet you," I tell her now
and she just smiles and whispers, "How can you hate the journey when it brings me to you?"
