The faint knock on my door woke me up. I never slept out late, but after last night, I was so tired that I didn't bother setting an alarm clock, because I knew I'd fall asleep right after turning it off in the morning.

So, I was rather surprised I woke up to see the alarm clock at eight in the morning.

Regina and I had spent the entire night talking and perhaps some making out was involved, only to continue getting to know each other and exploring each other's interests.

I yawned and wanted to walk to the kitchen, when I realized the only reason I'd woken up was because someone had knocked on my door.

The door opened with ease and I saw Belle and Ruby in the door opening. "So, how was it? Did you two kiss? You went to her house, what happened? Regina refuses to tell us anything."

I groaned and wanted to shut the door, but Belle put her foot against it, making it impossible for me to close.

I'd never seen Belle, nor Ruby, this interested in my love life and even though I understood it, I didn't appreciate it.

Perhaps, I did drink a bit too much wine last night. Later on, Regina had offered me her apple cider which was strong drink, but delicious.

We hadn't slept together the previous night, but she and I both knew that it wouldn't have been too much time before that had happened.

Now, my best friend and her girlfriend were waiting for me to explain everything.

I didn't let them in my house. Instead, I kept standing in the doorway and looked at them. Both of them were expecting me to invite them inside the house and gossip about last night, but I was in no mood and I never would be.

"So?"

I looked at Belle and sighed softly. "How about we tell you everything on a double date, next Friday?"

Regina was going to kill me for suggesting this.

Belle squealed and looked at Ruby, who seemed just as enthusiastic.

"Until then, no questions about anything," I stated and walked back inside my house before I slammed the door shut.

I immediately grabbed my phone and dialed Regina's number as I walked to the kitchen to prepare a nice cup of coffee.

"Hi, Emma." Regina didn't sound sleepy it hungover at all and I wondered how she managed to do that.

If Belle and Ruby had gone to her place, it must've been much earlier.

"Hi, uhm.." I didn't know how I could bring the news without making her angry. "You know how we planned our date next Friday?"

"Yeah?"

"Well, I have great news.." I said and tried to sound as ecstatic as possible. "Ruby and Belle are going to join us. It'll be a nice double date."

I inwardly cringed by the idea alone of having to spend an evening with Belle and Ruby together.

"Emma.." Regina groaned and I could hear her sigh. "Why? That's going to be awful."

"I know, I'm sorry, but they wanted me to tell everything about last night and I just didn't have the energy. It seemed like the only way to get them to leave."

Regina sighed again, but cleared her throat. "Alright, then. I'll see you next Friday."

"Bye," I said softly and once she'd said goodbye as well, I hung up the phone.

I hadn't had anything special planned for the day. Mainly, just going to work and finish off some paperwork. Not a lot happened in Storybrooke, so I often wondered why of all cities and towns in the world, I chose to become sheriff in Storybrooke.
