Viktor had looked away from the male once Axle was done, going to sit down and Axle went to the kitchen, setting the washcloth over the sink after rinsing it off and ringing it out.

He went back over to Viktor, studying him a bit

"Hey, you'll be alright" Axle said and Viktor looked to Axle

"Thank you... but I'm unsure about that... He's a lot stronger than he used to be" Viktor spoke quietly

"I know he's not human.. but what is he?" Axle asked

"Listen.. the less you know about him, the better" Viktor said sternly and Axle perked up, nodding gently

"Alright.. well, topic change then.. can you eat normal food?"

"I can... but there's restrictions and it does nothing for me unless I eat the wrong thing" Viktor explained "I can't eat much candy wise, and with meat, it can only be cooked a little, I can eat small amounts of desserts, but I must be careful of sugars so I usually don't eat those as well" He spoke, tapping his chin, trying to think.

"Hmm... Alright, I can work with that" Axle said and Viktor tilted his head

"What do you mean?" Viktor asked, furrowing his eyebrows

"You'll see tomorrow night.. i have to get back on my eating schedule" Axle said and Viktor hummed

"Alright..?" Viktor said in uncertainty and motioned for Axle to sit "How long do you plan on staying this time?"

"Umm..." Axle hummed, checking the time "Damn, it's getting late.. Um, probably not too much longer, I gotta get up in the morning" He explained

"I see, well, be careful on your way to your home" Viktor said, glancing out the window again and Axle sighed

"You're going to be keeping watch all night, aren't you?"

Viktor perked up and nodded gently

"Yes... I don't know when he plans to strike next, but I shall remain prepared"

"Fair enough.. You said he was someone from your past though, so care to elaborate?" Axle asked and Viktor shook his head

"No" He said simply and Axle sighed a little

"Alright, fine"

"Did that upset you?" Viktor asked and Axle shook his head

"No, I just wanted to see if you would explain" He chuckled and Viktor hummed

"Once he's gone for good, perhaps I will" Viktor said, stretching and letting out a small wince in pain, having hurt his back pretty badly as well, but overall, he would be fine

"Hmm.. I see... Would there be any way I can help?"

"Why would you want to help?" Viktor asked in confusion

"We're friends, and that's what friends do.. they help each other" Axle explained with a little smile as the vampire lit up a bit

"Oh, that's right.. I suppose we are friends" Viktor stated, messing with his sleeve

"Yeah, so, let me help, if I can" Axle said with a soft smile and Viktor shrugged

"I suppose I can think of ways you may be able to do so, but there's no guarantees" He spoke softly and Axle nodded gently

"I understand.. I'm not much of a match for either of you, so helping will probably have to be from the sidelines" Axle admitted with a soft chuckle

"Yes, agreed" Viktor said and went to the window

"Viktor, try and relax... I doubt he's going to come back tonight" Axle said, getting up and moving Viktor himself, and sitting him in a chair, despite the protests from the smaller male, but Viktor did stay put

"I'm going to have to head out, but relax, and don't make any injuries worse by stressing" Axle said firmly and Viktor huffed

"I'll be fine even if.. if I don't relax.." Viktor managed, but his eyes closed and he went silent, his head suddenly throbbing in pain, Axle shaking his head. He hadn't met anyone as stubborn as Viktor in this sense.

It was obvious Viktor wasn't in the best shape, but Viktor refused to acknowledge that until this very moment

"Need help with anything before I leave?" Axle asked and Viktor mumbled something about a bag, which cause Axle to perk up.

The male went to the kitchen and grabbed one of the blood bags, not really a fan of this, but it was better than what he knew Viktor could do.

He brought the blood bag over to the vampire and helped him drink it, making sure he didn't chug it down until Viktor's eyes opened fully and he was sitting upright

"Thank you" Viktor said softly, still not completely fine, but he was a lot better and knew he would heal fully

"You're welcome.. I'll see you tomorrow night, ok?"

Viktor responded with a gentle nod, waving a little before Axle left.

Axle was worried for Viktor, even for himself, but definitely more for Viktor.

He pulled out his phone and called Demi

It was a few rings before she picked up, but she picked up with a tired "Hello?"

"Hey, sorry, I didn't even think of the time.. um... You down for a sleepover?" Axle asked with a small chuckle

"Oh, definitely... got a lot to say this time?" Demi asked, yawning and stretching

"Yeah, actually... a lot happened" Axle said a bit nervously and Demi hummed

"Yeah, c'mon over, you have your key?"

"Well, duh.. I'll be over in a bit then" Axle said and hung up.

He kept his guard up, he was pretty sure that the man didn't see him, but there was still that bit of him that wasn't too sure anymore and it kept him on edge just enough until he got to Demi's, noticing one light on from the window
