"Are we really going to Viktor's tonight?" Demi asked and Axle nodded
"Yeah, I don't see why not.. unless you don't want to" Axle said and she shrugged
"It's just a little unsettling.. I can't really wrap my head around what he is.. and then what you told me last night" She shuddered
"Yeah, I know, but honestly, he seems like a great person and I'm sure he could really use the company after last night, he was already going crazy even when I was there.. I could only imagine by himself" Axle explained and Demi perked up
"Alright, if you're sure he's going to be ok with me tagging along" Demi smiled and Axle nodded
"I'm sure it'll be fine, for real this time" Axle reassured her.
The two spent the rest of the day together, doing little things, like making sure Axle ate enough throughout the day and they even ended up back at Axle's place to cook.
It was around dinner time, so Axle made a meal, steak, mashed potatoes, and green beans, wrapping up the three plates and writing a V for Viktor's before the two headed out with everything, heading to the Vampire's place.
It was a peaceful sunset and Viktor was actually awake for it, watching the sunset through his window before spotting Axle and the female.. having truthfully forgotten her name.
He went down the stairs and opened the door for them after the knock
"Hello" Viktor said "I do apologize.. but what was your name again?" Viktor asked Demi, who giggled
"I suppose we haven't formally met, so that's alright, my name is Demi" She said softly and held her hand out, but Viktor just looked at her hand, a bit confused and not that big on physical contact, seeming to fight against it.
Axle gently pushed her arm down with a little laugh, shaking his head
"I hope it's alright I brought her along" Axle said and Viktor perked up, giving a very little nod
"Yes.. it's alright" Viktor said softly, letting them in and perking up at the food "is this what you were talking about yesterday?" He asked and Axle nodded
"Indeed, that's exactly what this is" Axle chuckled
"It smells very nice" Viktor said, and Axle perked up
"You think?"
Viktor nodded gently and Axle set the food on the table
"Thank you" Axle said and Demi rolled her eyes, giggling slightly
"It's nice to officially meet you, Viktor" Demi said and he gave a little smile
"It's nice to meet you as well, Demi" He said softly "I apologize about my former behavior" He added and she shook her head
"No, it's alright.. I suppose I can't really blame you" She said and Viktor perked up "Plus, us shorties gotta stick together, especially around that guy" She said, pointing to Axle and Viktor couldn't help but give a slight laugh.
She was taller than him by a bit, but was definitely much closer in height than Axle, since she stood around average height.
Viktor looked to Axle and went to check out the food, noticing that Axle had truly listened.
The meat was cooked perfectly, at rare, but that's the only way Viktor could eat it due to the abundance of a specific protein found in rare steak.
Viktor took a bite and perked up, looking a little surprised and Axle rose an eyebrow
"Is that a good look or are you going to throw up?" Axle asked and Viktor finished the bite before answering
"I have never had this before" Viktor said, his eyes almost sparkling
"You've never had steak?" Axle asked and Demi tilted her head
"This.. Is steak? It tastes much different from the last time I had it..." Viktor stated, taking another bite and Axle chuckled
"I'm guessing it's good though? But you really can't tell it's steak?" Axle asked and Viktor shook his head
"No, how did you make it taste like this?" He asked and Axle hummed
"Just some seasonings" Axle explained, about to list off a few
"Like those herbs in a container?" Viktor asked and Axle chuckled
"I suppose you can put it that way, yeah"
"Aww, Viktor, you're adorable" Demi said, lightly teasing him but he turned a very bright red and huffed
"You don't do well with that.. got it" Demi said with a little laugh, but covered her mouth when she did, Viktor scrunching his nose slightly before he continued eating, finishing up all the food on the plate and then going to wash the dish, Axle smiling softly to himself as he got up as well, Demi shaking her head and handing Axle her plate before he went to go help the vampire, definitely going to wash up his dishes in an attempt to help Viktor out some more
