Aries.

I was even more nervous about the dinner, knowing soon Heathen's sister would be here, I really didn't know what to expect or how to act in a manner that wouldn't make me completely stupid.

I wanted to impress them in a way, deep down I wanted to show her that Heathen was safe with me and that she may see I was worth being with Heathen.

I just hoped that my effort was taken into consideration, I may have made a mess with the groceries, and the desert.

Speaking of desert, I made Heathen's favorite Red velvet cake, that's why I had to send him out of the house, to cool it and place the icing, along with finding a good hiding spot too.

The doorbell chimed and I knew that it wasn't Heathen at the door, the scent wasn't his and it was two people.

So I wiped my hands, placed everything in the right places, tossed away the apron, and walked toward the door. When I opened I didn't expect to see someone with so much of a close resemblance to Heathen, she was definitely his sister.

"Hello." I spoke timidly. The two looked at me for a moment until bright smiles were on their features. These two were beautiful in a masculine and feminine way.

"Hi!! I'm Emma, Heathen's sister, this is my husband Terric, you must be Alvey's boyfriend, your so cute!" She squealed crushing me in her arms.

We were both 5'9 but with her heels, she was taller. "Emma let go, you're choking him." I sighed mentally seeing Heathen rushing up to us.

"Alvey!!!!!" She squealed again, this time she threw herself at her brother, I can't believe this woman was a year younger than Heathen.

"I missed you." The two hugged even more until Emma's husband turned to me. "I'm Terric, the crazy lady is my wife." I chuckled as he came up to hug me.

"I'm Aries, come in, you must be tired." He nodded and carried their luggage in. "This place has changed a bit." I laugh leading him up to the room I had cleaned for them.

"Not that much of a change, here we are, get settled, dinner will be ready soon." He nods and I left him to get settled in.

"Alvey you didn't tell me you had a boyfriend, what kind of a brother are you?, when were you going to tell me." Emma whined sitting next to her brother.

"Recent development huh, like how recent?" Could she tell like I could when he's asking things or saying something with only a groan.

"Well I'm glad he makes you happy Alvey, that's all I need to know." I smiled laying out the dining table, at least she liked me.

"Terric is upstairs setting the bags in, I'm almost done with dinner, so you can get freshened up and come down." I spoke with a smile and she waved her hand dismissing me.

"Its alright, I'd rather help you and get to know you, Alvey is not one for letting anyone in his life so, I'm actually really interested to know you, in my eyes, you're my future brother in law." My jaw fell.

"Really, you barely know me." I argued. "I don't need to, Alvey is the best judge of character I know." She sang helping me get the biscuits out from the oven. "No doubt there." I added.

"So your name is Aries, right, Alvey was practically beaming telling me about you." I still couldn't believe Heathen was that happy with me.

"Yeah, I'm 27, I own a bookstore in town, I've lived here a couple of years, and I couldn't help fall for that man." I pointed to Heathen who was talking with Terric.

"He's always loved books since we were little, no wonder you got along, and he's always been the innocent one, but I doubt that looking at all those tattoos." She asserted making the both of us laugh.

As we prepared I got to know more about Emma and her husband Terric, their son Raziq and his younger brother, how she met Terric, and moved to the Ryeland pack.

She was really outspoken, fun, and opinionated like me and we really got along and slowly my nervousness went away, since Emma was more or less relatable in a lot of things to me.

"Well I should say thank you for being here for him, he has a habit of pushing people away with his grumpy attitude." Her statement made Heathen glare at her. "Put that glare away, she's being nice." I scolded and the 7'0 man pouted.

Emma and Terric burst out laughing. "I really love him, finally someone who tells you to do something and you do it." She chortled.

"Go freshen up." Heathen placed a kiss on top of my head and headed upstairs. "Aries got him really whipped babe." Terric exclaimed making me blush.

"Emma!! Terric!!" Axel yelled coming into the house, Danny shook his head, as his 6'7 mate acted like a child. The three talked a bit introducing Danny until Danny broke away to me.

"Hey Aries, love the smell in here, and it's so homey, by the way, funny you had to send Heathen to our house." We both laughed as we set the table.

"Don't be that nervous Aries." I wasn't anymore, not that much anyway. "I'm okay now." He nods and I make my way to the lounge.

"Dinner is ready." I announced and everyone filed in to the dining room. "This is amazing, everything looks so delicious." I smiled serving Heathen and I. "Dig in Emma." She already was, along with everyone else.

Heathen looked at me and I knew what he wanted. "Here is the salad, but leave room for your surprise." He nods and we began eating again. I could feel Heathen looking at me again.

"Yes surprise, and no I'm not telling you." He glared at me again and I chuckled. "That's not gonna work on me, at least on the surprise." He began pouting again with his wolf eyes showing.

"Nope, not working, eat up." He grumbled and began eating, everyone was laughing, that's when I noticed they had stopped to look at us and our conversation.

"I just want to say it's weird how you two can have a conversation with him not even talking, or does he use the link." I shook my head toward Terric.

"I just understand, even when he says nothing." I replied and then we began eating again. "Aries this is amazing, do give me the recipe before I leave." Danny hummed eating as well.

"Now I know why you're glowing Heathen, I thought it was something...else but it wasn't ." I choked on my food, why did Axel have to say that now.

Both Heathen and I glared at him. "We're not perverted, and why would you say that, just because you jump Danny any time, doesn't mean we do that, Heathen and I are new at this, so let us do it at our pace." Heathen had a triumphant smirk.

"Look at him all proud about Aries standing their ground." Terric asserted, the whole group burst out laughing, Heathen as always just chuckled.

It wasn't such a bad dinner as I expected it to be or rather it was going well. "Dessert time." I got up and headed to the kitchen, Danny in tow.

"Let me help, haven't seen Axel eat that much in a night or Heathen, I'm glad you're taking care of him." I only smiled toward Danny as he grabbed the pans of pie and I took the cake.

"Your surprise." I placed the cake in front of Heathen, it was like watching the wonder of a child in the eyes of a man, the way they lit up as I placed the cake. Before I could sit, he yanked me to him and crushed me in a hug.

"You're welcome." His smile was gentle and appreciative. "I doubt we are getting any of that cake." Emma commented and I chuckled watching Heathen take his cake giving the back off eye to everyone.

"I made pies don't worry." She nods and served the pie. I didn't move from Heathen's lap, he was so warm and I didn't want to move, so we stayed like that the rest of the dinner.

"Dinner was awesome, thanks Aries, and see you in the morning Terric and Heathen." I waved off Axel and Danny after watching a movie and catching up.

It wasn't so bad after all.
