The First Warlord: Nightmare

Ruby(Resurrection AU) POV
Location: Beacon(Killers Remorse AU)

Sparks flew through the air as The Godslayer clashed with the armored claws of the warlord. Both of us were locked, neither side wanting to give.

Nightmare(Y/N I Am Alone): YOU WILL PERISH! JUST LIKE THE REST OF YOUR FRIENDS! YOU ALL WILL DIE, AND THE CLEANSING WILL BE COMPLETE!

I can feel my grip starting to give in. I'm not sure I can hold him at bay much longer. I need to try and find a way to get out and flank hi-

Y/N The Archangel(Killers Remorse AU): RUBY MOVE!

I dashed to the right in the nick of time. A large arrow of light struck the warlord. While this wasn't going to kill him. It would give me a second to find an opening. God, more of these damn monsters keep showing up. If I don't kill this warlord quick, this might be the end for us. I dashed over to the hooded figure.

Cloaked figure(???): You want answers?

Ruby(Resurrection AU): Yeah, you seem to know a lot about everyone and everything. Is there a way we can create an opening to take him down?

Cloaked figure(???): If I told you exactly how to defeat him, that would break the laws of fate. Think Ruby... what is one thing your dimensions people have that no one else does.

I look at my friends and allies I've fought alongside in my world. As I'm looking I notice one thing that's common amongst my people.

Ruby(Resurrection AU): THE WEAPONS!

Cloaked figure(???): You got it... I'll let you take it from here.

I dashed over to my dimensions Ilia and Weiss.

Ruby( Resurrection AU): Weiss, Ilia, I'm going to distract the warlord. While I do that you guys need to gather our dimensions people and have them set their weapons to max charge.

Weiss(Resurrection AU): I thought the only weapon that can kill him is the sword?

Ruby(Resurrection AU): He's too fast and too strong for me to get a hit on him. If we can freeze him in place and drain his aura with our weapons, he'll be too worn out and weakened to move as fast as he is.

Ilia(Resurrection AU): I see where this is going. Alright, I'll go start grabbing our people, good luck Rose!

Ilia and Weiss ran off into different directions gathering our people. I sheathed my sword and grabbed my Crescent Rose. This won't be easy, but this will work, it has to. I began dashing around the warlord, trying to gain his attention while Ilia and Weiss prepares everyone for our plan.

Nightmare(Y/N I Am Alone): HOLD STILL!

Lightning strikes were crashing all around me. I need to keep moving, I can't stop. I can't give in. I gotta keep pushing. For the multiverse, for my dimensions people, for Y/N... if he's even still there.

Weiss(Resurrection AU): RUBY WERE READY!

I dash out of the way of the last lightning bolt and move to Weiss's location. The warlord looked up and laughed manically.

Nightmare(Y/N I Am Alone): YOU THINK YOUR TOYS WILL KILL ME?! I AM A GOD! YOU'LL NEVER KILL ME!

Ruby(Resurrection AU): OPEN FIRE!

I watched as everyone began launching their weapons and firing their guns at the warlord. He stood there tanking each shot like it was nothing. How powerful are these things? After another minute of attacks I signaled for them to stop their attacks.

Nightmare(Y/N I Am Alone): Did you think that would've worked Rose? Aaagh.

He fell to his knees. Thank god it worked. His legs are frozen to the ground, and his flesh is ripped open from the bullets and blades that clashed against him.

Ruby(Resurrection AU): Yes I did, that's why I've won this fight.

He chuckled

Nightmare(Y/N I Am Alone): Won the fight... yes, yes you did. But win the war... no. The Goliath will complete his goal, one way or another. It's just a matter of time Rose... hahahaha...

I unsheathed The Godslayer and raised it in the air.

I felt The Godslayer plunge into his chest. The sword began to glow and the warlord let out a cry of pain. Soon I had to let go of the sword and cover my eyes because the light was becoming too blindingly bright. After a minute or so the light faded and the stones in the sword became a dulled grey. The first one is down... finally. I looked up to the sky and saw that the dark storm clouds had faded away. It was night, everything was there. The broken moon, the stars... everything. I grabbed the sword and raised it as a sign of victory. Everyone began to cheer and rejoice. We've done it. We've just saved one of the Remnants.

Cloaked figure(???): Don't get too cocky Ruby. We still have much work to do in order to GUARANTEE that the multiverse will be fixed. But for what it's worth, congratulations. You have slain the first warlord and deity of The Goliaths Army.

Ruby(Resurrection AU): Thank you, I have faith we will be able to save the multiverse. I owe it to you really. You were the one whose helped us through all this.

Cloaked figure(???): Perhaps... we need to get going soon. We mustn't let ourselves lose sight of our objective. I will have the maidens start creating the portal to the next dimension.
