Chapter 16: Getting back to Battle

I am back. With new enthusiasm. Or so I think.
                                                                       
"Ash! Are you sure about this?" Dawn asked him.

"Pretty much ." Ash nodded.

"Ash! I am only asking this because just three days ago you were not in mood to battle and all ." Dawn stressed.

"Dawn! I am fine. I have trained hard and of there is one thing I do know right now is that I want to challenge a new brain and earn my third badge. Paul is already planning on his fourth. It is time to return to battles" Ash sighed.

"But.."Dawn was about to revert when Pikachu shook his head.

"Well! It looks both of you are pretty intent. So well be my guest and challenging him." Dawn accepted.

"Finally! Thanks Dawn." Ash sighed as he started to walk towards the tower of third brain.

"My name is Ash Ketchum and..." Before he could say , the gates started to open.

"Welcome to my tower. I am Mr Senko .You are here obviously because you want to battle and win a badge. So just let's cut to chase ." The man growled.

"Ok ! Whatever you say , sir." Ash nervously chuckled.

"Rules are simple . Only challenger allowed to do substitutions during match. It will be three on three battle. When all three of Pokemon of either side is unable to battle, match will be over and winner will be declared." Judge stated.

"For my first Pokemon ! I choose Pikachu." Ash sent his Pikachu who was excited to battle with sparks emitting from its cheeks.

"Golem ! Go ."  Senko sent out his Pokemon.

"A golem . Huh!" Ash sighed.

"Golem. A heavy rock Pokemon. This Pokemon uses its heavy weight to crush it's opponents." Pokédex stated.

"Alright Pikachu! Let's do this. Use thunderbolt on Golem!" Ash said as bolts of electricity hit Golem but it didn't do much..

"Looks like someone forgot that Golem is a rock type . How Golem ! Use dynamic punch." He commanded as Golem hit Pikachu with great force slamming it into wall.

"Pikachu is unable to battle. Golem wins ." Judge announced.

"In just one go . What a power!" Ash was amazed.

"Hey Pikachu! You did your best. Now take a good rest ." Ash told him as he hung his head.

"For my next Pokemon! I choose Dragonair. " Ash brought out his dragonair.

"Now that is some powerhouse. Golem ! Use brick break on dragonair." Senko commanded.

"Dodge it , dragonair and then use dragon claw." Ash commanded as dragonair flew away and hit Golem as it took major damage.

"Golem! Use your dynamic punch once again." Senko said.

"Dragonair ! Use dragon tail." Ash said . Both Senko and Ash looked as the two forces collided sending shockwaves through field .

At last Golem fell defeated.

"You did great, Golem . Now take a good rest . For my second Pokemon , I choose Jolteon." He said.

"Jolteon huh! " Ash shrugged. Jolteon, the electric spike Pokemon an evolved form of Eevee.

"Jolteon! Use spike cannon." Senko said as volleys of spark flew in air hitting dragonair.

"Dragonair! Hang in there. Use dragon rage ." Ash said as The orb on Dragonair's neck glows and it sends a swirling cyclone towards the Jolteon.

"Jolteon ! Use wild charge." Senko retaliated as both powerful attacks covered both Pokemon knocking them out .

"Both dragonair and Jolteon are unable to battle . " Judge announced.

Both of them were now left with their last Pokemon.

"I choose Talontflame as my last Pokemon. " Senko brought out his Talontflame , a bird popular in kalos region.

"In that case , I choose Zorua." Ash brought out his Zorua.

"A Zorua ! Now that is interesting. Talontflame ! Use flame charge ." Senko commanded as before Ash could respond, it hit Zorua.

"It doesn't matter , how agile Zoruas are generally . Talontflame is faster ." Senko chuckled.

"We can do more than just dodge . Isn't that right, Zorua?" Ash said with confidence and Zorua agreed.

"Great! Now let's show them. Zorua ! Use illusion." Ash said as dark ray started to come out from Zorua.

"Talontflame ! Don't look and use steel wing before it can use it ." Senko commanded as Talontflame approached towards Zorua.

"Zorua ! Hurry." Ash said . Just as Talontflame was about to hit Zorua , illusion began as Talontflame found itself in a dark shrouded place .

"You think you can intimidate us . Talontflame ! Don't be fooled by tricks. It is an illusion ." Senko said.

"Really? Tell me if this is illusion." Ash gestured Zorua and vines came out from nowhere picking up Talontflame.

"I learned it from Liona when I battled her ." Ash told him.

"You are good kid. But you are forgetting something. Talontflame can still use attacks when it's legs are tied. Talontflame! Use razor wind attack." Senko chuckled ad illusion broke away hitting Zorua.

Both Pokemon were tired.

"Well! Zorua. It is time now . Use imprison ." Ash told her as imprison hit Talontflame .

"Talontflame! Use flamecharge." Hé commanded Talontflame couldn't use it .

"Imprison stops you from attacking same moves you have used before. It is time to end this. Zorua ! Use payback now ." Ash said as Zorua Started to hit Talontflame with great speed finally slamming it to ground.

"And Talontflame is unable to battle which means Zorua wins. Ash is the winner of this match." Judge announced.

"Yes! You did it , Zorua." Ash smiled as he picked her up and she licked his face.

"Oh ! That tickles." Ash laughed.

"You did it , kid . You have great Pokemon. Keep training harder and you will be unstoppable. As a mark of your victory, I give you Belief badge ." He handed him a badge.

"Thanks Senko! I will do my best." Ash smiled.

"Yes! I got the belief badge ." Ash smiled with Zorua and Pikachu jumping in background.
