Pha's pov:

I just finished a 10 hour shift in the hospital.

It was 7 o'clock at night. It had started pouring heavily.

I could barely see right infront of me.

I decided it was too dangerous to drive in this weather so i pulled up into the parking lot of a hotel.

My house is still thirty minutes away so i decided to stay here for the night.

Thankfully i brought my umbrella with me.

I was about to head inside but stopped in my tracks when i noticed a small figure.

They were curled up near the wall of the cafe' infront the hotel.

What bothered me was the fact that they were sitting out in the rain.

I quickly walked towards them. I knelt infront of them and moved the umbrella so it covered them as well.

Now that i was able to see them clearly i could see that it was a small boy.

He slowly looked up at me.

He looked really familiar. But i couldn't remember how i know him.

He was shivering badly and his lips were turning purple.

"Why are you sitting out here in the rain? You should take shelter somewhere." I asked him.

"I-i tried t-to but they k-kicked me o-out. Th-they said th-they would lo-lose customers." He stuttered.

Lose customers? What the hell?

"Where do you live?"

"I-i'm homele-ss." He looked down.

I blinked.

How is such a young boy homeless?

I could see that he was fighting to stay awake.

I couldn't find in myself to leave him there. Something told me to bring him with me.

My instincts are accurate most of the time so i decided to follow it.

"Come here." I moved forward and wrapped my arm around him.

He was startled by the action.

"Y-you'll get d-dirty." He tried to get out of my grip.

"It's fine. Stay still." I said firmly.

He stopped struggling and held onto me with one hand while holding his bag with the other.

I lifted him with one arm easily.

"You're so light. Have you been eating properly?" I asked while we were heading inside.

"I-i ha-haven't had a-anything t-to ea-t for 4 d-days." He said softly.

"That's not good." I frowned.

I put down the umbrella near the entrance and went inside.

He started shivering even more because of the cold air from the air conditioning. He tightened his arms around me and buried himself deeper into my shoulder.

"Welcome. What can i help you with today?" The receptionist greeted me.

She was eyeing the boy suspiciously.

"I would like to book a room for the night." I took out my wallet.

"Of course." She smiled.
