He smiles and winks. He closes the door. It's 9:45 exactly on the dot. The airport is a hour away. I look at my phone for the first time today. I have missed texts from Ava.

Oh, boy! I should have looked my phone when I woke up. I text her even though she won't see texts till she lands.

I will be there with a driver and car on time-😊me

I put my headphones and to my friends sing and rap for the next hour. The driver goes in the airport with a sign saying Lee Ava. He walks out with Ava  five minutes later. I roll the window down and wave.

"Ava" me

She walks over with her suitcase and backpack to the car. She looks so mature. My beautiful baby sister has caramel brown hair and the black is gone. The guard puts her luggage in the trunk. The driver opens her door.

" Mae! I missed you!" Ava

We hug.

" Ava you look beautiful!!  I missed  you too!" Me

Her door is shut and the driver and guard are back in my car.

" What's with them? This is a fancy car..." Ava
She point at the front seat and moves her finger around the car.

"My boyfriend wanted us to be able to talk on the way back. It is an hour car ride to my place." Me

" He sounds very sweet, Mae. Do I get to meet him?" Ava

"Yes. Tonight. I am making dinner. I was hoping you could help me?" Me

" Sure. I'm miss cooking with you"  She looked out the window. "It's really nice here. Maybe I won't leave....." Ava

" Don't tease me Ava! I would love for you to move here" me

" I do love Japan but I miss you so much" me

We catch up on her school. I tell her about my new tutoring job, not specific details. I tell her about getting a group to tutor. She tells me about some of her friends but no mention of a guy. It surprises me. She is so sweet and cute. She's pretty shy when she doesn't know people though. We pull up to my building and into the garage. The driver and guard open the doors. The driver hands me his card.

" If you need me to pick you up today call this number. I can be here in 15 minutes." Driver

" Thank you" me

The guard gave Ava her luggage. We were up to the elevator.

" This place is super fancy Mae.." Ava

" It sure is! Wen and Ji's Family have money. It's very safe place to live. We have a really nice pool and gym too!" Me

" Maybe we can swim later?" Ava " But I wanna nap. I was up at 6 AM. You know I'm not a morning person!"

"Sure , you could nap in my bed. I just need to change my sheets" me

She raises her eyebrows. " Oh really? Do I wanna know?"

" No!" Me

We right up to my floor. We walk to my apartment. Wen and Ji  are playing a video game. They turn and smile. Ji gets up to hug Ava. Wen walks to to greet Ava.
