PRELIMINARIES

The blurb was one thing that immediately caught my attention. Short and sturdy. Some stories can perfectly generate readers' interest just by one liner blurb. Yours fall in that category. The cover was absolutely breath taking. I cannot complain a single thing about it.

TITLE

The title is very appropriate since in the very beginning we are told that Aki hasn't been home for the last five years. It is aesthetic and minimal. I like it.

GRAMMAR

The grammatical part has to be a perfection. I couldn't possibly find any error, be it grammatical or syntax, that I needed to point out. I think the structural aspect of the book is well maintained.

CHARACTERS

I like the way the characters have been described. The pivotal character, Aki gives off the description of the people who are mentioned consecutively in the chapters. I like how you put a snippet of some story while describing a character instead of just describing the cliche physical appearance. It is difficult to portray the titular character when the story is written in first person narrative. But in Homecoming, I'm highly fulfilled as Aki doesn't disappoint us by not giving a peek into his own self. Overall, I'm very happy with the characters in the story.

PLOT

The story is definitely anything but a Wattpad cliche. I was so overwhelmed to read a BoyxBoy story that doesn't just pivot around intimacy or haphazard relationships. This was a story of revelation, personal conflicts, family and love. Probably LGBT was the secondary theme of this story. I cannot but iterate that Homecoming was the perfect title for the story. I'm very satisfied with the premise, the language, the fluidity of the passage of the plot, the seamless relationships that you've created between the characters and in a very fulfilling way, Homecoming is not just a BoyxBoy romance story but an appropriate literary fiction. This is one story that I would recommend everyone to read.

CHAPTER LENGTH

Stories like this barely has any minus points but there is something that I'd like to point out for you. One thing that I did not like about the story is the length of the chapters. The chapters were so huge that at a certain point, I found myself bored of scrolling down so much. I would suggest you to keep each chapters short and crisp, that way it would hold up the readers' interest.

FINAL THOUGHTS

This story, Homecoming, is an extraordinary creation. I haven't found many stories like this across Wattpad. The story is not hoarded with languages of finery, so it is an easy read for all. I'm sure readers preferring any genre would love this. Best of luck for your upcoming chapters. I would surely like to read it till the end.
