Kiyotaka opens up his dorm room door, expecting to see Kiibo sitting on his bed or something. But the white-haired robot was nowhere to be seen.
"Idabashi-kun...?" Kiyotaka asks softly.
Instead of a reply, all Kiyotaka got was the sound of light whirs and beeps, coming from... under his bed.
Kiyotaka slowly lifts up the bed sheet, and there was Kiibo, curled up in a ball under the bed.
"Why are you down there, Idabashi-kun? That's quite an unusual spot to be...""Vending machine," Kiibo mumbles.
"Vending machine...?" Kiyotaka repeats.
"What about vending machines?""Ouma-kun said that he would shove me into a vending machine when he was teasing me this morning... I don't like vending machines, Ishimaru-kun..."
"I don't even think you would fit into a vending machine," says Kiyotaka.
Kiibo nods slowly.
"Yes, that is true, but no matter what Ouma-kun says, it always makes me feel bad... upset, scared, angry...""Well, if his words make you feel that way, then just don't listen to him, Idabashi-kun," Kiyotaka tells Kiibo.
"Ishimaru-kun, can you call me Kiibo? Really, being referred to using the professor's last name just feels strange. All of my friends call me simply by my first name, so I'm wondering if you could do that as well... Hopefully it isn't too much to ask of you..."
Kiibo looks at Kiyotaka with a small smile."N-no, I can do that if you want me to. I really don't mind calling you that... Kiibo. Wait, maybe I should use an honorific... Should I add on a '-kun' or something?"
"Now that I think about it, some of my friends do call me 'Kiibo-kun', so I guess you can do that, Ishimaru-kun," Kiibo answers with a light smile.
Kiyotaka nods, satisfied.
"Alright, that sounds fine. Now, can you come out from under there, please? Seeing you curled up in such a tight space concerns me, Kiibo-kun..."Kiibo comes out from under Kiyotaka's bed, sitting down on top of it instead. The prefect sits down next to the robot with a smile.
"Do you feel a little better now?" Kiyotaka asks Kiibo.
Kiibo nods.
"Yes, a slight bit. Thank you, Ishimaru-kun.""Anytime."
Kiibo looks at Kiyotaka with a curious expression on his face.
"What do you think Owada-kun and Momota-kun are doing?" he asks."I don't know, Kiibo-kun," Kiyotaka replies with a shrug.
"Would you like to go see?""If you wouldn't mind," says Kiibo.
Kiyotaka nods, standing up.
"Come on, Kiibo-kun."Kiyotaka leaves his dorm, and Kiibo follows him. They head nextdoor to Mondo's dorm. Kiyotaka knocks on the door.
Mondo answers the door, a smile on his face.
"Hey, Taka. And Robo-Boy.""My name is Kiibo..." Kiibo mumbles.
"Hey, don't take offense to that. It's just a harmless nickname."
Mondo laughs.
"Anyway, come in, you two."The two good bois come into Mondo's dorm.
Mondo looks over at his bed. Kaito lies asleep there."Oi! Kaito! Wake the hell up!" Mondo yells.
The purple-haired astronaut wakes up, an annoyed look on his face.
"Damn, okay.""Hello, Momota-kun," Kiibo says with a little smile.
Kaito's expression lightens a bit.
"Oh. Heya, Kiibo. What's up?""Well, the ceiling, obviously," Kiibo replies, pointing up.
Kaito laughs.
"Good one, man," he says."Ouma-kun was making fun of me again..." Kiibo tells Kaito.
"That little bitch," Kaito grumbles.
"What did he say this time?""He threatened to shove me into a vending machine!"
"Well, maybe we can get Shuichi, and then we can all gang up on him later," Kaito suggests.
"Hey! You shouldn't deal with him being mean by being mean to him back!" Kiyotaka scolds.
"That isn't going to fix anything!""Kick that little supreme leader's ass," Mondo says.
"Punch him so hard, he won't know what hit him. That's what I'd do.""Don't encourage that behavior, Mondo!"
"Yes, that's not a very nice thing to do," Kiibo agrees.
"I don't like Ouma-kun, but violence is not the answer.""I'll let Owada send Ouma to the moon," says Kaito.
"Besides, if he's on the moon, he can't make fun of Kiibo.""But there isn't oxygen on the moon, so he'd die there..." Kiibo mumbles.
"Don't you hate him?" Kaito asks Kiibo.
Kiibo nods.
"Yes, I do! But Ouma-kun being on the moon will just cause more problems than we need! Besides, I don't think that a mere human such as Owada-kun would have the strength to punch a 96-pound person hard enough that he'd land on the moon. That would be impossible, even for me!""I'm sure he was exaggerating, Kiibo-kun," says Kiyotaka.
"I know that. Still, it'd probably be interesting to see him try."
Mondo pumps a first in the air.
"Hell yeah, bro! Imma fuck his little ass up!"Both Kiyotaka and Kiibo stare at Mondo, and he laughs nervously.
"Heh heh..."
