Kiyotaka sits on his bed, tapping away at his phone. Sure, the phone was almost dead, but that's because he'd been on it all afternoon.

A knock sounds at his door, and in comes Mondo, a light smile on his face.
"Whatcha doing there, Ishi?" he asks Kiyotaka, sitting down next to the prefect.

"I'm texting," Kiyotaka replies.

Mondo raises an eyebrow.
"Who're ya texting?"

"Kiibo-kun."

Mondo looks over Kiyotaka's shoulder, and sure enough, there was a very active conversation with a contact listed as "Idabashi Kiibo" .

"Okay, I have several questions," says Mondo.

"Well, ask them," Kiyotaka replies, tapping away again as he'd just recieved a new message.

Mondo takes a quick breath.
"Number one, why do you list your contacts last name, first name? Number two, when'd you get Kiibo's number? Three, how long have you been texting him? Your phone's at 17%!"

"Alright, allow me to answer," says Kiyotaka.
"For the first question, I just think that since we're Japanese, I thought it would be convenient to list my contacts in the traditional fashion. Second, I asked for his number Tuesday, and he gave it to me. And... we've been texting since 12:16."

"Four hours?" Mondo asks.
"Damn, bro. I've never seen you text someone for that long. The longest I've seen you texting is seven minutes! What's with the sudden hours worth of texts to a robot?"

"He's intriguing, Mondo! There's so much I still don't know about Kiibo-kun, so I want to spend as much time as I can getting to know him better until he comes back the week after next! Plus he's just a lot of fun to talk to!"

Mondo puts a hand on Kiyotaka's shoulder, and Kiyotaka looks up from his phone.
"Yes, darling?"

"Put up the phone for a bit," the biker answers.
"Besides, it's nearly dead. It needs charging."

"But we're not done yet," Kiyotaka says.
"I have nothing else to do right now."

"I call bs on that," Mondo retorts.
The biker points to the binders on Kiyotaka's desk, which hadn't been touched since that morning. It was very not like the prefect to be on his phone rather than studying like a madman.

"I have nothing to study for at the moment," Kiyotaka replies with a shrug.

"You're always studying, Taka! How can you have nothing to study for?"

The prefect shrugs again.
"I don't know. I just don't have anything important coming up. I did all of my work last night."

"Last night, when you shoulda been sleeping," Mondo groans.
"I woke up at 2am, and there you were, studying your ass off with bags under your eyes."

"Swear jar," says Kiyotaka.

Mondo puts a nickel into the swear jar.
"Ishi, you're ignoring my point. Look, I'm used to you studying for ungodly amounts of time, and seeing you texting, of all things, instead of doing that is really not like you."

"Am I not allowed to relax on the weekend, Mondo?" Kiyotaka asks.

"Well, yeah, you are, but never in my life have I seen you on that phone to the point that it's almost dead. Seriously, what's up with that?"

Kiyotaka turns his phone off after sending one last text message. He plugs it into the charger on his nightstand.
"Does it really concern you that much?" he asks.

Mondo nods with a huff.
"Yes, it concerns me! Taka, you're all about practicality and good time management, and yet you're wasting an afternoon doing that. I get you like talking to Kiibo, but you don't gotta do it to the point of ignoring your responsibilities. There are many better things for you to do, and you of all people should know that. Just... leave your phone alone for a while and spend time with me. Okay?"

"Okay," Kiyotaka replies.
"I guess you're right. Please forgive me for being so foolish. I know that I should've put my phone away when you entered the room."

The prefect leans against the biker, a slightly ashamed look on his face. Mondo runs a hand through his boyfriend's hair, and Kiyotaka sighs. Mondo then kisses Kiyotaka's cheek to try the brighten his mood. Kiyotaka, of course, was still upset with himself for not properly acknowledging Mondo's presence before.

"Ishi..." Mondo says softly.
"Look at me."

Kiyotaka looks at Mondo.
"Yes?" he answers.

Mondo takes Kiyotaka's hand.
"You don't need to be upset about one instance of poor time management, hear me? It's not the end of the world. So stop bein' all mopey."

"I'm not being 'mopey'," Kiyotaka replies.

"It looks like you're being mopey to me," Mondo says, shrugging.
"Stop it."

"I'm just being quiet. That's all."
Kiyotaka grumbles a bit, obviously being mopey.

Mondo sighs, getting tired of Kiyotaka's not Kiyotaka-like behavior.
"Just... c'mere."

The biker pulls the prefect onto his lap, engulfing him in a soft kiss. Kiyotaka kisses back after a few seconds, cheering up a slight bit. He cups Mondo's cheeks in his hands while kissing him for a few more seconds. The two then pull away, Kiyotaka now smiling and Mondo smirking.

"I knew that would work," Mondo says with a light chuckle.
"You're not mopey anymore."

Kiyotaka scoffs.
"Did I not just tell you that I was not being 'mopey'?"

"Whatever. I still love you."

"Well, I love you too," says Kiyotaka.
"And once again, I apologize about the way I was acting earlier."

"Bro, you don't gotta apologize," Mondo says.
"I've already told you it's okay. So you can just let it all go."

Kiyotaka nods, pecking Mondo's forehead. Mondo chuckles, as he found any instance of Kiyotaka being affectionate adorable. The thought that this is the same Kiyotaka who could be found barking orders, yelling about god knows what, and issuing dozens of detentions daily was baffling.

When around others, the moral compass could be rather strict and normally didn't talk unless it was necessary (that talking usually becoming yelling), but when alone with Mondo, he was probably the biggest softie on the planet. Mondo loved this side of Kiyotaka, since the prefect wouldn't have to worry about being judged. They were bros and lifelong soulmates, after all. There was nothing for either boy to judge the other for.

Kiyotaka checks his watch, which was always inconveniently on his left wrist for some reason. Maybe he should fix that...
"It appears to be 4:53pm. Come on, Mondo. Let's get to the dining hall, alright?"

"I've told you nine million times, Taka," Mondo says, shaking his head.
"Dinner doesn't start until 5:10. We don't have to be so early that the food isn't ready yet!"

"Well, I like being first, so we must get going!" Kiyotaka argues stubbornly.

The prefect stands up, holding his hand out for Mondo to take. Mondo sighs, taking his boyfriend's hand and heading out of the dorm and towards the dining hall.
