Mason spent the rest of the day working with the Alpha in his office. At dinner Dr. Graham eyes me across the table, and I ask Mason if he wants to come with me afterwards to talk to his dad.
"No, that's your discovery. I'll let you and Dr. Graham tell him yourselves."
"Okay, I'll let you know how it goes. Do you want to wait from me in the living room?"
"I think I'll go see Jessa, try to get some information out of her," he says with a smirk.
When dinner is over everyone spreads out. I walk Mason into the clinic and leave him in the borrowed wheelchair, then follow Dr. Graham to the Alpha's office.
"So, that's what we think," she says after telling him her idea.
The Alpha shifts his weight in his seat, and leans in. "Mason told me about this 'theory' of yours. I don't believe it anymore than he does. Jessa is a nice woman, and what happened to her is a tragedy. If you're saying that she had my grand babies while she was captured that just makes this worse."
    "She attacked me," I say.
"Yes after you taunted her about your marriage. Stay away from her."
