STORM

FIVE minutes passed at nakatanga pa rin ako sa harap ng study table ko, hindi ko alam una kong aaralin: iyong powerpoint ko ba para sa conference bukas? O mag-review para sa revalida exam namin sa weekends?

Alam ko na. Matutulog na lang ako katabi si Sab.

Tatayo na sana ko nang may brasong pumulupot sa leeg ko mula sa likod at saka ako hinalikan sa pisngi. "You're too preoccupied, hindi mo na namalayang gising na ko," she said.

"I'm sorry." I grabbed her one hand and kissed her knuckles.

Just like the old times, Sabrina has been sleeping and staying in my dorm. Pinamahayan na naman ng gagamba at sawa iyong condo niya dahil hindi na ulit niya inuuwian. I'm actually bothered, medyo malayo itong dorm ko sa Law building. I'm also bothered because...hindi ko alam bakit nauwi sa ganito ang set-up namin.

The first thing Sabrina deserves right now is a label. Balak ko siyang ligawan ulit pero putek hindi ko alam bakit ganito nangyari.

Umikot siya papunta sa harap ko at umupo sa kandungan ko. Awtomatikong pumulupot ang kamay niya sa leeg ko. Ni hindi namin 'to ginagawa noong kami pa pero ngayon, parang wala na lang sa'min. I laughed at the thought.

"Why you're laughing?"

"We never did something like this before. Hindi ako sigurado kung dahil ba na-miss natin ang isa't-isa, or because we just got more confident through the years."

She chuckled. "Matatanda na tayo, Storm. Ready na dapat tayo sa mga mature roles."

I laughed hard as well and hugged her on her waist. We haven't even kissed yet, anong mature roles and sinasabi niya? I buried my face on her neck and got addicted a thousand times with her baby scent.

"How was the trial pala kanina?" I whispered on her neck.

"Our client won! Sobrang tuwa ni Atty kanina sabi niya gusto niya raw ulit akong kuhaning second chair sa next trial."

"I know you'll win." I planted small kisses on her neck. "I always believe in you."

She giggled. "Stoooorm, nakikiliti ako."

I chuckled and finally separated my face on her neck. Nakakaadik kasi, bakit ganon? "Are you ready for later?"

"Mej kinakabahan pa rin."

"Don't be. Just be yourself. You're perfect in all ways." I planted small kisses again on her neck down to her shoulder, and tightened my hug around her waist. She's like a drug; and I'm someone who's willing to get overdosed.

She tapped my shoulder so I loosen my hug. "Sige na, Storm. Mag-aral ka na muna. I'll see you later at dinner...with your mom."

"Uuwi ka sa condo mo?" I asked while frowning.
