Lewis was trying to find something to do. His father was at a bowling tournament, and Lewis wasn't into bowling. His older sister, Erin, was at a friend's house for the entire day. Lewis felt lonely. He didn't like being lonely. He felt lonely and sad.
"What's wrong, sweetie?" asked his mother.
"I'm lonely," said Lewis. "No one to play with."
"Aw, Mommy is here, sweetie!" she said. "Want to watch a movie with me?"
"Okay!" beamed Lewis.
Lewis's mother put in a funny movie. "Come sit on Mommy's lap, sweetie!" she sang.
"Okay!" said Lewis. His mother put him on her lap, and made him feel comfortable. They enjoyed their time together. The movie was about clowns, doing tricks, and getting involved into silly situations. They laughed all the while. Lewis was not lonely, anymore. "I love you, Mommy!" he said.
"Aw, I love you too, babe!" she said, kissing him. "You like sitting on my lap, while watching movies?"
"Yes!"
"Good!"
