Chapter 12- Betrayal

"What?" Tony asks

"I'm not going back with you" I say a little reluctantly

"Why not?" Clint asks softly

"I can't" I say gently

"But why not. You've escaped and we've got the tracker out of you. Your safe now" Peter says trying to convince me

"There always going to find me, tracker or not. They would never let me go, I'm their prized possession" I say with a sad smile

"You mean their weapon" Steve scoffs

"So you understand that I am dangerous. And if I go with you we're all sitting ducks, they'll find me, kill you all and take me back. Two birds one stone" I say

"It's ok we can take them" Pietro says

This makes me laugh

Not a funny laugh but an ironic laugh

"I'm sorry I understand that this is not a laughing matter" I say calming down looking at their surprised faces

"But that is the same thing Director Fury told me when we first made a plan to escape. I said if anything were to happen to take Natalia first and he said it wouldn't come to that and that he and his team would be able to fight them off. That wasn't how it worked out now, was it?" I say

"We have more man power now" Clint says

"Well so do they" I say

"Well then I guess she's made up her mind" Fury says

"Oh C'mon you can't be serious" Bruce says angrily

"We cannot make her do something she doesn't want to do" Fury responds

Coulson walks over to me and helps me off the table

"We're going back to headquarters, wheels up in 10" he said taking me the aircraft

Third Person POV

She walked away with Coulson and Fury discreetly signaled for the rest to stay back

"Do you have it" he asks Shuri when it's just them

"She is going to get very angry if you use that on her" she says handing him a gun

"I've already let her down once, I won't do it again" he says sighing

"What is this" Natasha asks picking up one of the guns on the table

"It's an icer which when shot with will implant a monitor, which will keep her in the bounds of the Avenger's Tower" Shuri explains

(For those of you who don't watch Agents of shield and Icer is also known as the night night gun, pretty self explanatory but it makes  the person you shoot pass out)

"Your not serious" Steve says

Everyone just looks at him

"You want us to take her home?" He asks appalled

"I assumed you wanted her to go with you, she is your last soulmate" Fury says

"Yes, we want her to come with us" Tony says before Steve can say anything

Everyone else nods

"Well then you know what to do" Fury says motioning towards the guns

"Is that really necessary" Peter asks backing away from the gun

Thor wraps his arm around the boy for comfort

"If you want her to come home with you then it's necessary" Fury says

"Don't worry Peter, we shall take care of it" Thor says kissing Peter on his head while he just nods

When they each have a gun they make their way to the aircraft

They thought they did a marvelous job being discreet but Valentina knew better

She was a world class assassin, did they think she was stupid?

She knew something was up but she couldn't put her finger on it

The flight went by fine, everyone was quiet and no one did anything

She was last to walk off the Jet when they landed and saw they weren't at shield but at the Avenger's Tower

She looks around and sees a few agents standing around the building

'I knew I shouldn't have trusted them' she thought to herself

She sighs and walks over to one of the agents calmly

She smiles before kicking him in the stomach

She sees a bullet barley pass by her and she grabs about her agent twisting his arm back and using him as a human shield

A few bullets hit him and he goes unconscious

Well at least they're not trying to kill her

She sees that there all out of their special bullets and she makes run for it

Logan the first one next to her and grabs her arm yanking her backwards while she's not paying attention

She brings her leg up to to kick the side of his neck but he catches it and grabs her leg by his shoulder

She tries to pull away but his grip is tight

So she pushes her foot into his shoulder so it's digging in and he lets go

She tries to get out but again she gets tackled to the floor by Steve

She bangs her head on the floor extremely hard and groans loudly

She struggles beneath the blonde super soldier and brings her knee up to hit him on the chin making him roll over and loose his grip

When she stands up she stumbles and sees blood on the floor where she had banged her head

Before she can make her way out she feels a hand grab her waist and a sting in her thigh

She turns around and with blurry vision she see Peter drop the gun and grabs hold of her before she looses consciousness

Peter now had tears coming out of his eyes as he held Valentina in his arms like his life depended on it

"Why did I do that?" Peter asks shocked with himself

"I can't believe I just did that, she's gonna hate me!" He yells with wide eyes

"Calm down love, she is not going to hate you" Loki says now walking over and kneeling next to him

"I knew this would be a bad idea" Steve says

"Of course you did" Clint says rolling his eyes

"Look at what just happened, she obviously doesn't want to be here" He yells

"That's not true!" Tony screams

"Yeah you don't know what's going through her head" Natasha yells

"Oh that's rich, what do you think all of this even was!" Steve yells back

Everybody is now screaming at each other while Peter watches holding Valentina

Peter calms down slightly and notices something

"Um guys?" Peter says but there all busy yelling at each other

"Guys" he says louder, but still nothing

"Hello I'm talking here!" He yells which finally gains their attention

He shakily moves his hand which is under her head and shows the team

It's dripping blood and his pant leg which she was lying on was also soaked crimson

They immediately go into action grabbing her and taking her to the med bay
