"Wait, so how many years did he get again?" Mar asks.

"He got two years for Stalking and Harassment, but Dad is pressing for conspiracy of murder as well." Noah's voice vibrates against my cheek.

We were at his place. Mar sat on the couch, facing us. As I lay my head on Noah's chest, I focus on his fingers, twirling my hair rather than Sawyer's situation.

"That sucks. He'll just come back in two years."

"Yeah, I guess so. At least we managed to get a restraining order."

Mar looks back at me. "Can't your dad's money make him go away?"

"I don't think Sawyer has a price."

She rolls her eyes. "Everyone has a price."

"Not me." His hand caresses my shoulder softly. "Or Amy."

"Price doesn't necessarily have to be related to money, you know? Like, it could be family, happiness, I don't know! Get my point?"

I nod, and Noah asks her, "What's your price?"

"It depends. I have a price for different things. If someone wants to have sex with me and they're hot, I'd do it for free. If they're ugly, I'd probably ask for a bag."

"Oh, woah. That's pretty cheap," Noah comments.

Mar shrugs. "Sex is free in France. Only you uptight Americans make it such a big deal. I might as well get a bag from it. What about you?"

He hesitates for a second. "I would probably ask for a studio."

"A recording studio?" I ask him.

He hums. "Yeah, like a place where bands would come to produce their album. That'd be cool."

Mar rolls his eyes. "No one's going to buy you a personalized studio to sleep with you. You're not that hot."

I can't help but laugh at her boldness. My heart warms as they continue to bicker. A small part of me longs to join them in Manhattan. We would have had so much fun in New York with Mar's wild ideas and Logan's free spirit.

Yes, we would have driven Noah absolutely crazy because he's the group's mom, but still...

Noah notices that I go stiff for a second. He presses his cheek to my head. "You're okay?"

I nod. "I was just thinking of Logan. Why isn't he here?"

"He told me that he's not feeling well," Mar answers without looking up from her phone.

"I'll go check on him."

Noah moans in protest. "Don't leave me with her," He mumbles.

"I can hear you, you know?" Mar snaps.

My lips curve into a smile before I walk upstairs.

I was trying hard not to worry about Logan, but the guilt made it difficult. I found myself continually thinking about the what-ifs, but I don't want to go back into that cycle.

Maybe my mind will stop thinking about all those scenarios when I travel tonight. I take a deep breath before knocking on Logan's door.

"Logan? It's me, Amy..."

I wait for a few seconds before he unlocks the door.

"Hey, you." My stomach drops when I take in his appearance. He looks like a mess. His hair is sticking in every direction. The circles under his green eyes are darker. He looks so exhausted.

Without thinking, I automatically wrap my hands around his neck. He rests his head between my neck. For a second, I almost ask him if he's okay, but I stop myself.
