a new world

Living...

Their house is indeed in the woods but I see a very green field not so far away from here. I entered their house and look around. I'm pretty sure it wasn't as huge as the mansion I used to grow up with but it's as clean as if there are lots of maids cleaning the house. This living room is so cute.

"I prepare breakfast in case you're hungry."

"Thank you so much."

"You look like you're from a wealthy family."

Time to lie.

"Oh, I don't remember a thing so I don't know."
Maybe you'll start auditioning for some TV or movie roles. You'll gonna be a good actress.

I heard something outside so I turn to look at her and ask,

"Is that a horse?"

"Yes,our landlord's son is here. You should put an extra plate for Axel." The old man told his wife.

A man around 20's showed up and made me startled since I'm left alone since the old couple are already in the kitchen.

"Hi"

"Uh,hey. We better go to the kitchen, the food's ahh-ready."

It's hundred percent awkward. I still don't know the names of the couple and there's this guy Axel which sure is a good-looking guy but a complete stranger to me. But I'm more of the stranger to them I guess.

I follow him to the kitchen and listen to him as he greeted the couple.

"Good morning Alicia, Ben. Ooohhhh,Alicia's famous very fluffy scrambled eggs! The best in the whole town! Best than the cooks at home made." Then he looks at me and wink.

"I haven't seen you before? Are you a visiting relative or something?"

"I-uhmm"

"She's my niece Angela." Ben told him.

"Nice name." He mumbles and nods and again,winks at me as he take a mouthful of eggs and shove it to his mouth.

"Are you just visiting them or you'll be staying here for good?"

"I'm staying here for a while."

"Good. I'm finding someone who could be my personal maid."

"I don't think that's a good idea. Angela isn't it-"

"It's cool. I actually want to have a job to help Aunt Alicia and Uncle Ben finnancially since I'll be staying here for a while."

"Cool,you'll be starting today. I expect Ben and Alicia to take you there." He said while looking at the old couple.

"Of course. I am also going to the ranch so I can drop her off."

"So, I'll be heading now. See you at our humble house, milady." He winks again. Someone should tell him to stop it, it's creepy.

"I'll just get the truck."

"Do I have to pack? I know I'm going to stay there but I don't have any dress and I'm moving now and-" I stop when I found Alicia laughing.

"What is it?"

"You're rambling." 'That is embarassing. Remind yourself not to do that again.

"I'll buy you new clothes. I'm going to the nearby town later. I won't ask you to come with me anymore since you're heading to your first day of job." I nod at her urging to ask her why is she so nice to me.

"He's a bit of a playboy so you must not fall for his charm if you don't want to be brokenhearted."

I laughed and replied.
