I Will Not Give Up
Part 3

Taehyung and I walked in silence to the container. We were close enough to see the light shining from inside. As we got closer, we walked slower as if we were hesitant to meet up with the others.

"Are you going to tell them about Seokjin?" Taehyung asked.

When I hesitated, he clarified, saying, "I mean, are you going to tell them he's finally back from America?"

I still couldn't forget how Seokjin had looked when he pitched up at the gas station when he came back to Korea. His eyes were empty and his voice was rough as if his throat had been dry.

"Was it our choice to become who we are now, or-"
That's what Taehyung said. He never finished his question, but I knew what he wanted to ask.

Did we truly have control over who we became, or was fate...destiny to blame?

I wasn't sure if I believed in destiny or fate. I never really thought about it. I always saw destiny as an environment and situation you were simply born into. You never had the choice to be born or where you were to be born.

Honestly, I didn't want destiny to exist at all. I didn't want my life to be predetermined by some higher being. I wanted to be able to lead my own life and make my own decisions. I wanted destiny to have no control over me whatsoever. I wanted freedom of choice.

We got to the container and I opened the door for us. it had been two years since I had seen Yoongi, Hoseok and Jungkook.

Two whole years.
