(Y/n) was now eating barbecue with the rest of Team 10, he was a bit out of it due to flash back but it wasn't nothing too serious.

He was poking at the raw meat in his plate a bit with a singular chopstick, he long ago gave up in trying to pick it up since there were none were no 'chopstick helpers' in sight.

Ino poked his cheek with the back of her chopsticks to catch his attention, he turned to her to see her offering a piece to eat. (Y/n) sat up supirsed as he gave a small smile, leaning forward and eating it with a content smile. "Thank you, Ino" He cheered up a bit "Um- by any chance do you know where. . . thoose little thingies for the chopsticks are?" (Y/n) asked her as Ino tilted her head in confusion.

"You mean the things the younger kids use to hold their chopsticks?"

"Yes! that!" (Y/n) perked up, Ino laughed a bit as she sighed and shook her head. "Pass me your chopsticks" She hummed as (Y/n) passed her his sticks, she grabbed a hairt tie from the small bag on her hip and balled up some napkin paper, she wrapped the hair tie around the chopsticks with the napkin in the crevice of it.

"There" She handed the chopsticks back to (Y/n) who looked down at them in amazement. "Is- Is this some sort of art?"

Shikamaru sighed at what (Y/n) said as Asuma chuckled "No, just a trick I learnt when I was a kid" Ino replied as (Y/n) clicked the chopsticks still 'awe'strucken. Choji took another piece of meat off of the griller and ate it contently, "Why don't you eat the nori?" He asked a bit confused as (Y/n) looked at the sheets of seaweed.

"I don't know if I need chopsticks for them or not. . . " He mumbled, "So what did you eat as a kid if you've never used chopsticks?"

A plate was throw infront of (Y/n) as he looked up from his restraints, seeing the rice and raw meat. "Eat up you monster, tomorrow you'll be tested on again, so get all the energy you need you dumb fuck" The scientist cursed as he opened the cell door and unlocked (Y/n)'s restraints. He then walked back out and locked the cell door with a scoff, "hurry up if not I'll feed it to the dogs!"

(Y/n) fell to his knees and ate the food furiously with his hands, like usual.

This wasn't the lush life, he was an object to them, why care about the small things?

He bit into the piece of meat and ripped a chunk of it off and ate it, knowing that his next meal might be a few days late if he didn't do good tomorrow.

"You look like some sort of animal!" The scientist scowled as (Y/n) growled in reply.

"Keep growling, soon enough you'll become some mutt"

"My parents made me more finger foods is all" (Y/n) replied, picking up a piece of raw meat and eating it just like that.

"COOK THAT OR YOU'LL GET SICK!" Shikamaru scolded as everyone laughed.

(Y/n) got home later that day in the afternoon with all his papers and happy since he made some new friends. Opening his front door to see Tobirama standing there right infront of him and looking down at him in disappointment.

"And where were you?"

(Y/n) shrunk down a bit and gave a small nervous smile, "Um. . . I stayed over at Genma's place?" He laughed a bit as Tobirama grabbed him by the neck of his shirt and dragged him inside, slamming the door closed.

(Y/n) was then dropped off at the table in the living room where Hashirama and Sasori sat at, both perked up at how (Y/n) arrived.

"Took you long enough" Sasori scoffed as Hashirama waved at him, back to normal in his ghostly appearance. "What's with all the papers?"
