"You could've saved yourself back there"

(Y/n) stayed quiet as Hidan finished wrapping the bandages around his torso, arms, neck, and shoulder.

Kakuzu crossed his arms and quirked an eyebrow, "I'm waiting for the response"

Hidan sat down next to (Y/n) on the bed, scoffing at Kakuzu "Quit annoying the man, he just tumbled down a fucking mountain side!"

"But he could've stopped it himself if he really wanted to, all his attempts were weak" Kakuzu pointed out as he growled a bit "Why not tell us the reason to that, it would save the damn small talk-"

"I would've rather died there to the shinobi than being dragged off by you two" (Y/n) spoke bitterly, "I never wanted anything to do with the Akatsuki, so dying by their hand seemed much more appealing at the moment than trying to bump into you two that would undoubtedly be waiting at the exit of the village for me. If I did even make it past you two, then I'd have an entire village after me due to treason, and it would pretty much throw off my whole plan"

Kakuzu grunted and stood up suddenly, grabbing his cloak and mask at the hanger by the door "You've been worth too much money just to act so bratty, I'm going out to see if I can collect a bounty or two, don't do anything stupid Hidan or I'll personally inform Pain. Don't care how much you think of (Y/n) as a friend, keep an eye on him and don't let him leave"

And with that, he slammed the door shut and left the inn.

". . . no hard feelings?"

Of course, Hidan was the first to speak up.

"Tch" (Y/n) scoffed and leaned back to lay against the wall since the bed they were on was placed in the corner.

Hidan just sighed and leaned back into the wall aswell "Itachi asked me about your past, I was iffy on answering him but told me that you gave him permission to know"

(Y/n) gave no reply, he raised a hand to scratch at the bandages at his head. Feeling over some of the scratches and band aids, pulling his arm back to examine all the bandages wrapped around his fingers and forearms.

". . . so how has life been treating you?"

Hidan asked as (Y/n)'s gaze slowly fell to his backpack where Sasori's vial was, feeling guilt crawl up his back. "Not nice, did some shit I regret like always"

"Has the bounty been tough?"

". . . it hasn't been the main reason to my regrets, but it surely pulls me down more than what I intended" (Y/n)'s voice lowered as he kept talking, thoughts running violently.

". . . what do you guys plan on doing with me now?"

"Pain wanted us to try and collect the 9-tails, 8 tails and 2 tails, we didn't expect to bump into you so me might need to change plans. Since we've already collected and sent the 2 tails off and missed the 8 tails, our next objective is the 9 tails" Hidan explained, watching as (Y/n)'s expression hardened.

"With all my power, I'll stop you two, I promise you both that" (Y/n) growled as Hidan groaned "Stop being so whiney! We can't kill you anyways, so stop complaining, you'll be fine" And with that, the killer stood up and walked over to the door, pulling on his own cloak and grabbing his scythe. "I-. . . I know you're going through things (Y/n), but try and not do anything that could ruin this all. If we're able to capture the nine tails, then we can move on, and as soon as this dumb plan is finished we can set you free and all the crap. You can get some dumb little house near the mountains and live peacefully, you'll-"

"Hidan."

He froze in place as he was fixing the collar to his cloak, slowly turning around to see that (Y/n) was glaring ar him coldly with the lifeless (e/c) eyes. "I never told you all my goals or my full past, not even what I've been doing for the past month or two, so don't go acting as if you know what my intentions are"
