Percy POV
It's been almost two months since we started Hogwarts. Potter hasn't brought up Annabeth again. I have no idea how he found out about her, but he doesn't know she's dead. Nothing much has happened since that first week.
I woke up on the day before Halloween morning and looked over at the others. I couldn't see Leo properly, only his tail. Ever since he was given the ability to turn into a lizard he's hasn't been human very often. Not that it bothers any of us. Any chance I get I go running in the woods as a wolf. Thalia comes too sometimes. I have to be careful that no one sees me in wolf form, they all think my animals a horse.
Today was the day the other schools arrive for the Triwizard tournament thing. Us demigods have yet to decide who's going to enter. I looked at Franks watch on his bedside table next to me. It was almost breakfast. I woke up everyone, including Ron, but made sure that they left Harry alone. With luck he'll miss breakfast and get in trouble. Petty, I know. But so was using my dead girlfriend as a punchline.
Just as expected Harry ran into the Great Hall just before breakfast ended. "Ron! Why didn't you wake me up!?" Harry hissed after Lupin had talked to him about being on time. "You looked so peaceful and after all the nightmares I figured you could use some extra sleep." Ha! This guy wouldn't know a nightmare if one stood in front of him in a fluffy pink sweater riding a freaking unicorn.
Classes were boring the rest of the day, but you could see the school growing in excitement for the visitors later. I wasn't thrilled to say the least. Just more people to lie to. More people who could see right through us. More people who could expose us.
The first weird thing I noticed was the pirate ship. I had a free period with Nico and Thalia (they don't all take the same classes). We decided we would spend it by the lake when about 20 minutes after we sat down, a big ship started to rise from the lake. I knew something felt off about it today. I thought maybe the octopus had decided to fight a shark or something. It was huge. The mass was a dark black, as were the sails. Before we could see who was on it, the Headmistress came and ushered us away.
At dinner, Piper was telling us about the blue carriage her and Jason had seen earlier. Flown in by multiple Pegasus. If these schools came by flying carriage and a pirate ship. How come we have to come to Hogwarts by something as mortal as a train?
