today mattia and i were going to the beach, he's been practically BEGGING me to go ever since summer came around
you changed, and he went in the bathroom to change
you thought it was odd since you've already seen him naked...but u didn't think much of it
"omg hurry up mattia, you've been in the bathroom for ages" u said
no answer
"mattia?" u said knocking on the door
"just give me a m-minute" he said, his voice cracking
"u okay? mattia open the door"
"y/n just wait" he said sniffling
"you're worrying me, just open the door" u desperately asked "please?"
he opened the door, he was wearing his blue swim shorts, shirtless. his eyes were bloodshot and puffy, his cheeks were tear-stained and his lips were swollen
you gave him a tight hug "what's wrong, are you okay?"
"can we not go to the beach today?" he asked "please"
"what happened, u just wanted to go?"
"nothing i'm just not in the mood anymore" he said
your eyes fell down to his stomach and abs admiring them
he immediately put his hands in front of his stomach covering himself. he grabbed a sweatshirt from the counter and started putting it on
"hey" u said grabbing his sweatshirt out of his hands "what's going on, why are u acting like this"
"y/n just give me the sweatshirt" he said covering himself once again
"why do you keep doing that" u said moving his hands away from his stomach
he turned to the mirror, looking at himself. he pressed his hand onto his stomach, pushing in
"why do i look like this y/n"
"like what tia? you look amazing" u said
"no, why can't i have abs like everyone else? i-i've been working out non-stop for the past 3 months and i've been barely eating" he said practically sobbing "it's not fair" he said
"mattia. i don't care if you have abs, which u do by the way? you're amazing either way. don't compare yourself to anyone else, ever. you're so beyond beautiful and i am in love with you and your hot ass body. i never knew u felt like this...you mean everything to me" u said engulfing him in a huge hug
he put his head on your shoulder, staining your sweatshirt with tears. but u didn't mind
"y/n i just wish i had abs for you, all my friends have good bodies and u deserve-"
u cut him off "no stop right there. for me? i'm not dating you for your body mattia. i love you and ur body. don't compare yourself to ur friends, i love YOU, not them. you don't owe me a good body or anything. i love you, for you mattia. i love u so much"
"i love u so much more y/n" he said
you wiped his tears and looked at his lips
he leaned in, it was a quick kiss, but it was amazing.
"do you still wanna go?" u asked
"not today y/n, i'm sorry, i'm just not ready yet" he said
"it's okay, we'll work on it okay?"
he simply nodded looking down
you didn't tell him this but something he said rly stuck with u "i've been barely eating" u remembered him saying. now that you thought of it, he didn't eat much when u hung out. which was often, considering you were always together.
"alright let's go" u said
"where?" he asked
"to get food, let's go" u said grabbing his hand
"i don't want to, u can get smth if u want" he said
"what about u?" u said
"i'm not hungry" he replied
"what? you haven't eaten all day" u said
"im just not hungry right now it's not a big deal y/n"
"yes it is, you haven't eaten all day."
"y/n i already told u i'm not hungry"
"no we're going. you need to eat mattia. you're worrying me. you never eat as much as you used to"
"it's not a big deal, i'm just on a diet" he said
"a diet isn't starving urself tia." u said looking into his eyes cupping his cheeks
"come on. please." u said
"no y/n, i'll eat later"
"ur coming, ur rly worrying me" u said
"fine, only so u see there's nothing to worry about"
we got there and i ordered 2 bowls, one for me and one for him.
"here" u said
"that's huge y/n i'm not eating all of it"
"but u used to eat like 3 of these in one sitting?" u said
he just looked down
"look, it's fine, just eat as much as you can okay?"
he ended up finishing it
"i'm proud of u tia" u said
"really?" he asked
"yes, now let's go home" u said kissing him
